2000 chevy blazer 4.3 vortec was running replaced radiator, camshaft position sensor, crank shaft sensor, rotor and cap, new plugs, checked plug and coil wires they are good firing order is correct, h

At my wits end here plugs seem wet after trying to start with my scan tool hooked up it does not show the computer advancing the spark I have checked the mechanical position of the distributer and it seems to be correct i believe the timing chain has not jumped a cog but the motor sounds like it is ******** by at least one gear on the cam.

It not being throttle body is my bad sorry dropped the exhaust in front of the cat only made the problem louder checked for pulses on the wires for the injectors all of them seemed to be firing. located and checked the knock sensor. Book calls for 8200 ohms, tested out at 100 k ignitions still wont advance

Disconnect the connector for the fue injector on the left side front of the intake plenemn there are two wires on red one blue these are your fue injector wires, check for power on one wire with the key ON One has power with the key ON, and then take the test light connect one end on one of the wires coming out of the harness NOT the plenem and the other end of the testlight to the other wire in the same connector don't let them touch togother! sue a paperclip or cotterpin to let you connect the clip of the testlight to the connector.crank and you should see the light blink( I just want to narrow down the possibilities) If you see the light blink Good. Then make sure the PINK wire wire going going in the module has 12V KEY ON and also check the two wires inside the distributor that come from the pick-up unit make sure they are not broke the distributor pick-up unit failes commonly, its easier and less expensive to just get a used distributor that works and be done with it.

I would be thinking that there is a good chance that you need to be checking out replacing the computer, if you aren't getting any communication with the proper scan tool then the computer isn't communicating with anything in the vehicle...... I would have guessed first off that the ignition control module might be bad but that is obviously part of the computer also, I would be looking in that direction.

SOURCE: I have replace the spark plugs, wires, coil, crank...

You replaced all kinds of parts for no reason. Do you really think, at this time, that even one item was your problem.
I would suggest going to a repair shop,as you already spent more than, that would have cost,in the first place.

2000 chevy blazer crank no start. I was told it overheated and has been parked ever since. (one year). I replaced cap, rotor, plugs and wires. wont start and only one code P0122. please help

I'm not sure about a Prius? If cranking rpms sound faster than normal, you need to check compression.
You may need fresh fuel? After it sat that long I may have pulled the plugs and tried the crankshaft by hand, plus add few drops of oil in each cylinder, before cranking.
I saw what you replaced, what testing have you done? Did you visually check for spark at the plugs, engine cranking. Key on engine off, did you use a gage and check proper fuel pressure, with the spider fuel system, 60--66 psi. After it is started it may run with about 10 psi less. Engine cranking you have fuel injector pulse?
The code is for throttle position sensor. Three wire connector, 5 volt ref--ground--signal. You can use digital multimeter to check signal wire, just turn on the key, move throttle by hand, watch the voltage, closed throttle .36--.96 voltage, wot 4.0 min. Voltage should move up and down smoothly.

2000 trail blazier with random misfire, sulfur smell, glowing convertor. New cap, rotor button plugs, plug wires and convertor NO CHANGE ! ANY IDEAS ?

Is the check engine light lit ? Any DTC'S - diagnostic trouble codes ? What engine ? 4.3 L vortex . Leaking fuel pressure regulator under the upper intake manifold . Leaking fuel injectors ! Ignition timing problem . How does the engine run ? Who installed the plugs an wires ? are they right ? Fuel pressure leak down test, fuel injector balance testing . Check distributor drive gear an slop in the shaft . Did you have distributor out ? Is it in the proper position ? What cylinder is misfiring ? engine mechanical problem ! What do spark plugs look like ? fouled , soaked with fuel . Do a engine compression test .
The camshaft drives the distributor shaft which rotates providing a spark to the correct cylinder by way of the cap and rotor. The camshaft position sensor functions much like the crankshaft sensor previously described but provides only a 1x signal to the VCM. That is, for every 2 rotations of the crankshaft, there is 1 rotation of the camshaft. Note that the CMP sensor will not affect driveability. The sole purpose of the CMP sensor is to provide the VCM with the necessary information for the misfire DTCs.

1999 chevy blazer not starting

Check the plug wire from the ignition coil to the distributor cap.
If you haven't already, replace the distributor cap and rotor.
The GM Vortec's have issues with moisture getting inside the cap and rotor and causing problems.

Will a throttle position sensor cause my 96 model Chevy blazer 4.3L vortec get bad gas mileage I'm only getting 225 miles to a full tank

I would replace both o2 sensors and take the mass air flow sensor off and clean it with a non-chlroated brake cleaner. Also a tune-up sure won't hurt sparkplugs, plug wires, distributor cap and rotor.Your fuel milage should increase.

I have a 95 chevy blazer with the 4.3 .i have tested and have spark entering the distributor but no spark leaving the distributor to plugs .have put new crank sensor ,cam pos sensor...

That is indeed odd. I would suspect problems with the hi tension cables if this was not part of the ones you changed since the flow of current ends at the distributor. Check also other cables such as the ground. It is puzzling that all plugs would not have any spark. I would also recommend a scanner used to check for error codes given out by the car's ECU.

Rought idle

There is a tester you can use that screws on the radiator cap and you can pump it up to see if it has a leak down effect in the system.. This wont tell you where its exactly going but tells you if there is a leak in the head or intake gasket.. probably should start with the intake and replace it and see if it does the trick .. if not then tear it down and replace the head gaskets and or check heads for cracks also.. thanks Jerry

1999 chevy blazer wont start

THE FUEL PUMP IS BAD.

if your losing fuel pressure after the pump runs the drain back valve in the pump has failed.

and i doubt that you are seeing enough fuel pressure to run a vortec engine.

low fuel pressure equals a non running vortec
