My gmc yukon 2000 slt rear ac blows hot air when i have ac . on and the front works fine .

I have a 2000 GMC Savana Van SLT with front and rear AC/Heat. My front would blow hot while the rear blew cold with AC on. It turned out to be low on Freon. It's hard to know if you have the right amount of freon installed because pressures vary depending on the ambient temperatures. So the best way is to remove all the freon then reinstall the recommended amount as listed on the evaporator housing near the firewall. This worked fine for me... works like new after installing the correct amount of freon.

Car a/c some time not blowing cool air

Many possibilities' First- you may be iceing up. That is when the temp sensor is to far into the condenser. Pull it out a small amount at a time. Good hint is the amount of water drained on to the ground when you park it.
Second is - you may be low on freon causing the compressor to shut off when it's sensor tells it "not to run dry". Then the freon drains back to the pump and it starts all over again.
Third is - the compressor may have a problem making it run hot. There is a sensor for that too, and will turn it back on when it cools off.

Not all of these are in every system, so with out more manufacturers info, (factory, or aftermarket)it's a generic answer.

We replaced the compressor and cooling radiator under the dash. Now it cools but not enough. Mechanic put in more freon, but it didn't help.

spray cold water on front condensor (rad) to see if this helps
would need to know what pressure are hi and low and cycles of comressors are
to much freon could overload the system and make it run warmer draw out
and put recomended amount in is air flow out at duct proper could have cabin filter
pluged up or blend door not working (sealing properly)

How many cans of freon should i put in me 95 pontiac bonneville

None, unless you know how much is already in it. what are you high and low pressures? what is the ambient temp? what is the vent temp? Leave it to a pro. Fix the leak. then have it recharged with the correct amount.

Ac compressor on 99 isuzu rodeo turns on and off . already filled with freon. air is cold but not consistently

Does it have the correct amount of freon, it can still blow cold with the wrong amout of freon, this will damage the compressor, you may also have a bad cycling switch or bad high preasure switch and even a bad connection to ac system, this first thing is to make sure the correct amount was installed,

Dodge durango freon capacity

On the inside of the hood near the firewall on the passenger side is the factory sticker. the hodds been changed or other related problem it may be missing. If you call the parts Dept of your friendly Chysler dealer with your VIN their computer will have your build amount. The owers manual won't as the trucks are built in different Plants with different parts and thier both factory and dealer installed. So the hood sticker is about the only right amount. To tell the correct answer Thiers a 4.7 a 5.2 and a 5.9 engine models and 4 whell drive and not. all of these models don't have extended cab or not. The factory installed amounts are all the dealers going to have. After that all you can do is start out at ,9 Lb. and what the gauges and temperture readings and try to balance the system manually .3 Lb. is too much to be off by. Undercharge it'll get too cold and freeze up and over charge hith side pressure can ramp up quickly and blow something

The air is blowing hot but then sometimes cool but not cold

Yeah you probley either need freon or you either need another air compressor. But i would recomend that you try putting freon in it and have a vacum est done to make sure it holds a charge
