Is this brake lights or tail lights? If brake, then switch on pedal is stuck, if tail lights, then switch is bad.

SOURCE: 2000 Toyota Corolla wont start Changed 02 sensor disconnected bat

I had the same problem, i had to remove the whole alarm system to get my car to start, when you unattatch the battery cables, the alarm notices the battery drain and sets the alarm off, i have no idea how much the dealership would charge for a new remote, but im sure its pricey, i would recommend just removing the alarm system, temporarily, until you can get a new remote. Good luck and god bless

do the ignition lights come on? does it go click, click, click when you turn the key?

I removed the battery and now the car won't start

'I disconnected the car battery/changed the car battery and now my car won't start'

Another common question on Fixya.
You've done nothing wrong. It's simply that the immobiliser doesn't recognise the key.

Put the key into the ignition. Turn the ignition on. Press the LOCK button twice on your remote. Wait 1 minute.

Turn the ignition off and press the UNLOCK button on the remote a couple of times. This will disarm the immobiliser.

The key should be recognised and your vehicle will start.

My Running Lights Won't Turn Off on my 1999 Toyota Corolla

Short term, pull the drl fuse, see if lights go out. Check to see if headlamps will still work with drl fuse removed? If they still work, don't worry about it.
Just between me and you, I've never cared for drl.
I can give you wiring diagrams if you want?

Car won't start, seems to have power, all lights working. when I turn the key nothing happens. this only happens sometimes

Could be a bad alternator.. It may not be holding charge. Or your starter could have failed.

Though I've had the same problem and it was a dead battery in my vehicle. Had enough power, but to keep the car on..

My 2003 toyato corolla will not start

Same thing happened to me. Did everything I could think of and it still wouldn't work. Ended up pulling every fuse and checking them, turns out it was a blown am2 fuse (under the dash behind the steering wheel) Here's a diagram

I hooked jumper cables up backwards being in a hurry. I blew the 100 amp main fuse and replaced it. now the lights and blower fan work but the car won't turn over and the clock and radio don't...

It sounds like you blew fuses other than just the main fuse. Hooking the battery up wrong can destroy major components as well, like the starter, battery, Computer, moduals. You might need a good shop....

De-activate immobilizer of 98 Toyota Corolla

Simple thing to do is have your coils checked.. You should have spark if they are good.. If you still dont then disconnect battery at least 20 - 25 mins see if it resets ecm and alarm. May begin to work properly again..
