The driver's door lock will not open from outside but is ok from inside. I have to use key in driver's door to release the alarm and then go around to the passenger door and use the key to open and then reach over and open the driver's door from the inside.

this ones trick but ive done it. you have to carfully pry back the top part of the door panel and you should get enogh room for a small arm to fit in and manuall pull up on the relese lever for the latch to the door then you can take the door apart for inspection

Sounds like the plastic clip that connects the lock has broken however regardless of fault the inner door panel has to be removed to diagnose and repair. It could also be inner door lock assembly.

Have you tried pressing the button twice? First time opens the drivers door, second time opens all other doors.

Most security systems on vehicles have a small single pole throw type switch located under the dash board area on the drivers side, whatever direction you find the switch set in flip the switch to the opposite side to disarm the alarm, this is called putting the alarm in a passive or valet type mode until you can have the whole system checked by a certified alrm install facility that deals with the type alarm you have in your vehicle.
