SOURCE: I can't open driver-side door from inside

You will have to take off the inner door panel and check the mechanism inside, a piece of the latch might have broken off.

SOURCE: automatic side door will no longer open with

Did these doors quit at the same time or over a period. It seems that the actuators for the locks have gone bad. With the mentioned doors, that's a lot weight for the actuators to unlock and pop open. With the remotes and console not working , that's more reason to think the actuators are the problem.

The headlight, brake and turn signal all run out of the turn signal switch. this is what causing you to loose those items. the door is a clip that has broken inside the door that goes to the handle, you will have to take the door panel off to find the rod that is hanging

SOURCE: Chrysler T&C Power Door Problem

If it stops in roughly the same spot every time, and won't respond after it has stopped, it sounds like a broken wire. It is likely losing its electrical current to run the motor. It should be right where the track bends when the door has stopped. Check for loose or frayed wiring inside the flexible plastic track just below the door. The wires will often wear after being bent over and over again. If you find a broken bit of wire, cut out that section and splice in a new length of wire. Be sure you do a good job splicing, or you may end up with the same issue again soon. I am not a mechanic by any means, this just makes sense to me, and I'm considering buying an 01 town and country with this issue, which is why I'm on this site to begin with. Best of luck -

Side door was slammed shut hard and now door wont' open

There must be a way to get the inside panel off. Then you could see and work the handle levers. From the handles to the latching mechanism, small rods work them. They attach on both ends. You will be able to see how the handles trip the latch, then grab the right rod and pull or push it in the right direction to open the door latch. You can do it, hard to describe w/o seeing one, but all work similar. Little rods, that's all you need to know. Uh, well, getting the door panel off is the biggest hurdle. Several screws, some may be hidden, be patient, plastic pin type fasteners along the bottom and up the sides of panel have to be popped out-usually one about every 4-6 inches. Once you get it loosened up, you will easily find the rest of the attaching points. Lift the panel up from the window channel and away. Peel the plastic ("waterproof barrier") film off carefully. You will want it to get a good reseal when you are done. Now you can see the inner parts, and how the handles operate the latch.
Once opened, spray with a penetrant, check the door sill all around, check for visible reasons it stopped opening. Sometimes the rods get stretched or bent, and the handles won't work. Good luck, big "do not slam" sign on that door, okay?

I slammed the side door really hard and now it won't open. Chrysler town and country 2001. Is there a do it myself fix for this?

have some one apply pressure on the inside of the door while you press the release handle. May be even a good bump will help as you have jammed the door lock in the latch

How to get to rear seat driver's side fuse box?

Open the rear doors Follow the carpet to the bottom of the rear seats. You will see staples along the carpet. (This is to adhere Velcro to the carpet.) Separate at that seam. Reach in and pull the carpet forward. The Fuse boxes are long narrow black boxes. (its tight and you have to use some force to pull the carpet back. Fuse boxes are located on both the driver side and passenger side. Good luck!

Passenger side doorwon't open from inside the car

What has happened is the poorly designed clip that holds the pull bar to the handle has snapped causing the bar to fall out. Take the interior panel off of the inside of the door, using 2 pairs of pliers twist the end of the bar around and simply insert it in the hole it fell out of, I have had to do this to all of my doors and, unless you slam the door really hard it will stay put.
