I'm not real familiar with how hell stalls. The hell that I have been through goes on and on and I WISH it would stall....LOL

With that said, Jeeps are known for bad crankshaft position sensors causing engine stalling.

SOURCE: jeep liberty 2002 air conditioning

please elaborate, does your inside fan still works? does your compressor clutch kicks in?...would you know if you have refrigerant in your system? if you can trace the hose from the compressor to the evaporator, you can see a plastic cap normally blue with a big letter "L" at the top, then it is the low side fitting, you can remove the cap and get a pin and press the pin at the center( be carefull, refrigerant might be present). if there is none, then you have a leak. u lost all of your refrigerant that is why the ac did not work. if you do have a big burst of gas as you press it, then it is not a refrigerant problem,
a lot more to be tackle as you help me diagnose your problem.

tnx

My 2002 jeep liberty wont keep the timing

always starts, always runs but stalls randomly, right?

is that a guess. on timing? what is the proof? a timing light?
this car has an ASD, it can drop for many reasons.
the best way to find this fast is to use that magic cheap tool called
a scan tool and OBD2 scan tool. It will tell you why ASD drops
in most cases, and if it dont,. tells you the other by process of elimination.
(still in rough draft) as is all there on jeeps.

Jeep liberty will start buy wont stay on for more

It sounds like a fuel issue. Possibly a bad fuel filter or fuel pump. I would start by replacing the filter as it is a much cheaper fix. I hope this helps.

2002 jeep

My wife had a similar problem with a 2003 Jeep Liberty. Her problem was that it stalled and she could not get it restarted unless it sat off for 30-45 minutes. It seemed like it was a problem with the alternator and battery but it had just gotten a brand new battery in it and we discovered the starter would roll over after the Jeep sat. We had it towed to the dealership and they replaced the Crank Sensor and the Timing Sensor and the Jeep now runs fine again. Side note: They charged us about $200 to fix these parts.
