Started to overheat, stopped and put water in. Got home had overheated again. No visible leaks, but fluid drains over night. Replaced thermostat, checked hoses, belts, connections...OK. Fan comes on w/o problem. Possible oil in radiator fluid...can't tell for certain if it is oil or other contaminant.
Ok first check the water pump and if that is ok sounds like the head gasket blown, look for water in the oi, thisl will be like a milky colour

Foamy rusty water in over flow when over heating , heater didn't work.
Flushed system with water until clear. Heater working, car drivable
for approx. 5 miles before starts to get hot again. No water in oil.
The pressure check are within 1/1000ths on all cylinders. So far no smoke.
are you parking the vehicle over the type of ground that you would notice any type of dripping. you may need to put some news paper under the car. Also a truck I had a long time ago had a similar problem, there was a leak in the radiator on the side where the plastic and metal fins come together and it was leaking just so it went down the water lines to the back of the engine and it drove me crazy for quite a while. If the head is good and the pressure is all good then its in the coolant system, check under the overflow tank. under the battery. Get under the car and check under the ledges of all the metal where it can stand. Hope this helps. If you find anything let me know it would be interesting to know.

one more thing, you need to check your plugs for 2 things. the first is water, and the other is presure. you can buy a presure test kit real cheap at the part store, pull one plug at a time, put the presure tester in each hole at a time and comapre it against the presure numbers you should have in your Chilton (that you should have already baught) or you can get the numbers from the dealer if they feal like being nice to you. if one of them is off then your head is bad. which is what I suspect by what you have told me but I can't confirm. Water doesn't just disapear, it either gathers or evaporates. The only place hot enough to evaporate is in your engine and the only place where it could do that is your head. If its an early head leak you won't notice it till it gets worse. you can be on the look out for whiteish blue smoke too.
There is one other thing which I would think you would have noticed and mentioned already, if there is water on your floor board, then its your heater core. If not then I still think its your head. It could be pushing it into one of your intake ports rather that the piston or block, and you won't see it untill it totaly blows thats why I recamend getting the pressure guage and doing the test yourself. Anyone can do it and you will save your self a lot of money.
when you pull the dip stick is it milky white, and is there any rainbow rings in your radiator fluid?
