Hi,
It was something that takes a lot of time and money to diagnose.Emissions requires the truck to have an EGR valve (exhaust gas recycle) and this deposits gunk (carbon residue) on your MAF (mass air flow sensor) If you catch it in time you can use a carbon cleaner from Autozone or checker Lightly on the MassAirFlow sensor. If not in time you may have to have either the MAF or EGR valve replaced and these are expensive. After a long period of time being undetected eventually the EGR valve will start smelling like sulfer, this means its to late to clean and save.
Thanks for contacting Fixya.
SOURCE: No start. Ran sluggish for a few miles. Fuel
I would lean towards the pick up pump not delivering the fuel .
Hope this helps.

Check the PCV system .You can pull the oil cap or the oil dipstick with the engine running to see if there is engine vacuum in the crankcase.
Pull the dipstick and put your finger on the hole and if you feel a vacum then it's the pcv problem. But if you dont feel vacuum, then its not pcv problem.-----------
As you mentioned that MAF is replaced.Bud did you check the MAF sensor wires with meter. There are 3 wires. one is power wire, that is 12 volt wire.--------
one is ground wire and one is signal wire. The signal wire of maf is controlled by ecm( ecm means cars computer module).---------
If the maf is not getting power it will not work, still its new.-------
Same for ground and signal options too. There should be proper signal from ecm.-------
Click this link below to go through maf testing:---

This will help.Thanks.Helpmech./
