My 1999 Ford Windstar keeps lockng the doors and blinking the interior lights while driving.

While driving the van, occasionally, the interior lights will blink several times on and off and the doors will all continue to randomly lock and unlock. This is now happening almost every time I drive the van.

You need the dealer to scan the Body control module while this is happening, i think you have a defective door ajar switch here.

SOURCE: 1999 Ford Windstar, idles rough, slow acceleration

sounds like a large vacuum hose was knocked off the engine when they pulled the trans out, have that checked.

SOURCE: 2005 ford taurus. Remote entry wont work theft light keeps blinking when key is engaged

HI, I'm reading your problem,
Let me explain something about your car.

2005 Ford Taurus, The key on that car has Chip inside of the key and receiver on the ignition switch,
Check if the key you are trying to use is Black and has a plastic head.
If not you need a key with that characteristics.
But if you have the right key, Remenber if you had drop on the floor, or hit with something,
Because some times they come damaged, with insignificat thins.
Remenber if you left the key close to a magnets like speakers.

If nothing aply at your case, you need to call a place Aloha Smith, they have the computer to program or reprogarm your key. IF not you can't start your car.

OK.. I hope this information work for you.

Thank's for submit yous question on fixya.com

SOURCE: 1999 ford windstar o/d light blinking

Sounds to me like it may be a sensor in the transmission. Possibly the shift seleniod or the od sensor itself.

Where is the fuse box on my 1997 ford windstar lx?

If you remove the interior light fuse just to turn it off and to turn off the dinging noise then for sure this will drive you nuts, That fuse is part of the shift interlock, what this mean you wont be able to get the car out of park. That interior light and ding is part of the GEM module so you have to fix the problem,in the driver door panel part of the door lock assemble is the switch, either you disconnect that switch or you replace the switch.

The interior lights stay on after the van has been shut off and the interior lights will not go off. the van is a 1998 ford windstar.

it is problem with any door lock or door (switch if switch is there), if it is not going off after you make it off manual with help of lamp switch, then problem with lamp.

Interior lights flash on and off in windstar van

is the dome switch in the correct position it may also indicate a Trouble code is it a steady blink or a few blinks followed by a series of rapid blinks ....try lowering the intensity on the switch for the interior lights it may just be connecting enough to allow it to flash rapidly the door switch may be just opening and closing just enough to cause this an adjustment may be required to fix it does it happen if you hold the door switch in the fully closed position ?

Flashing interior lights, battery wont keep a charge, power locks activating while driving?

You have a loose or shorted wire someplace, all that you can do is start looking for it. It could be inside a door, or the harness that feeds the door.
