I have a 2002 kia rio i changed my transmission and put in a used transmission. it worked for 4 days, then it began to buck and loose power when accelerating.when i come to a stop i have to press the accelerator to the floor and even then the acceleration is slow and sluggish.but this only happens when the speedometer is moving erratically even if the car is moving or not.if the speedometer is not moving the car works perfectly

ok its a thought off my head that i can think of right off
the brake on drivers side is binding and the squiller pin i call it is rubbing on rotor you probably need a brake inspection there free at brake masters

This could be a bad thing or it could just be the guage failed. I would bring it in to dealer and hope you are under waranty meaning under 100,000 miles. And single owner.

There is a vaccum assist module on the transmission, which uses alot of vaccum and helps control your shifts, check that vaccum line at the intake manifold and the transmission to make sure it is connected, this line being off can cause you alot of problems,
The battery, check to make sure your cables are in good shape and connections are tight and clean, make sure you put the new belt on right.
If you have it on wrong you could be spinning the alternator backwards, then it would'nt charge.

I had same problem with my Stupid KIA RIO 2002. Change the spark plug wires and Spark plugs. I could not figure out this simple problem. It left me in middle of the road and costed me $200 for dealer to tell me that. Oil leaks from valve cover gasket onto spark plug wires. Then, spark plugs and spark plug wires will not have electric connection and you will not get combustion. That is why your car does not have any power and can not run fast.
Dealer ship are not any smarter except they run into the same thing over and over again
