SOURCE: Jeep wrangler Fuse box

i had the same problem. i drive a 95 so im not sure if it differs from were the fuse box is. look righ above you pedals to your far left. it should be right there. also if you instruments went out it will be a 15 fuse. its a blue fuse. next my panel went out cuz of the wires on my transmission. if yor looking at your jeep at the front. the wires will be on your left. make sure they are not burned or anything. it will be right on the side of your tranny. mind got burned by the exaust so they were shorting. check that is and see if that is what is it. for a temp fix just put some electrical tap around the wires and you should be set for a wile. good luck

SOURCE: 1996 Jeep Grand Cherokee...Blowing ASD fuse

My daughters jeep had the same problem. We fixed by finding the wires that run beside the manifold down under the car. The conduit that have the wires in it was worn away because of resting up against the manifold, causing the wires to short the system out. Once I replaced the conduit and taped the wires it has not shorted out again. By the way, the Jeep dealer couldn't find the problem.

SOURCE: What does the auto shut off fuse do? 92 Jeep Wrangler.

The auto shutdown relay in your vehicle is controlled by the computer. If the computer does not see a signal from the crank or cam sensor, it will turn off power to the relay which in turn shuts off power to the fuel and ignition system. Unlike those in many passenger vehicles, it's not connected to an impact sensor. (as jeeps are off road vehicles as well as being transportation, if they had an impact sensor, they would be prone to shutdown when traveling over rough off road terrain)
The fuses to the relay are affected by shorting or overload of any components they serve, or by a problem with the relay itself.

No power to fuel pump 1999 jeep wrangler

do you know how it really works? most don't
the PCM controls the pump and the ASD relay is related.
all fuses good. in all fuse boxes.
car dont start , is that it, why not say
or starts for 3 seconds and dies, (ASD does that)
why not post the symptoms and ask for real help, not this guessing game.??????
ok ill pretend, no start
so is the ASD closing at all? cranking?? yes/no
if no bad news. or fuse blow, ask why.?
yes, but the relay drops out. well bingo.
the relay killed the pump power, on PURPOSE by DESIGN.
that is how it works. to stop CRASH and BURN as seen on TV and all movies, (it seems)

so why does the ASD drop out, well that too is easy and is
fully covered in the FSM.
but is listed here, in short, facts page.

is the IMMO faulting? SKIM?
my wrangler has a stealth IMMO lamp, so the creeps that steal cars
wont know what the red lamp glowing means (no ICON !)
do you? see operators guide under how to start a car and read said lamps.
8 ways, or less. to kill spark , fuel, and all.

Asd relay not operating

The ASD is what powers the fuel pump relay you need to check the engine fuse box junction for open fuse especially the fuel pump fuse and the ignition fuse. Get the ASD power corrected and the fuel pump injectors coil and reference will be back in action, check the fuse especially fuse No.23

2006 Jeep Wrangler cigarette lighter not working

Check for un-isulated connection on the hot wire lead. It might have been after-market but on mine the connection would short out, blowing a fuse. 1 inch of heat shrink tube fixed the problem.
