When I press the clutch pedal it's stay all the way down, but there is not action and can not engage the trans. Would it be the pressure plate or something else? When it stop working I was driving and try to change gear, there was a noise like a "pop" and the clutch pedal when all the way to the floor.
1998 Golf is not hydraulic operation. Could be clutch cable as mentioned, a fractured actuator rod lever at the end cap of the transaxle, or a bad plate/rod combination.
Clutch fluid...Check you clutch cylinder...It's like the brake cylinder but works the Clutch...I guess the car has one..

Hi and welcome to FixYa,
In a manual 2001 Hyundai Accent, the clutch cable could be adjusted. The adjustment point is on the cable 'pad' where it enters the firewall in the engine compartment.
To adjust, the slack or free play must be decreased. This is done by turning the adjusting nut clockwise. Check back by pressing on the clutch pedal to your preference.
Good luck and thank you for using FixYa.

If hydraulic actuated mechanism, loss of fluid, defective master cylinder or slave cylinder at the clutch. Missing pin or other part between slave cylinder and clutch arm. Loose or broken slave cylinder mounting. Missing pin or broken part between pedal and master cylinder. If mechanical linkage, look for broken components or missing pins at moving joints. If you tried to shift into gear with engine running, you may have damaged the transmission gears.

Are you sure the clutch disc is installed in the correct direction?
Admittedly, I haven't seen the clutch disc for a Mitsubishi 3000GT, but I have seen my share in many makes of vehicles.
The clutch disc may be one of those that will install in either direction. Some clutch discs are made so that the inner hub with springs, can be installed towards the crankshaft, or towards the tranny.
