SOURCE: Eml and diagnostic problems

As for the limp mode unless you have an expensive diagnostic system this usually has to be done by BMW (anything to get ya to a dealership!!). The comms problem, is the key turned in the ignition?

No advise is possible untill you take it to workshop and let them scan it , I'm sure ECU stored all information and fault codes.

Eml light.. loss of power

Hi
Air flow sensor could be a problem.
Every time EML comes on the car computer will put the system into limp mode. To avoid any further damage to the engine.

once switch off, isolated and re-start will re-run the program and clear it temporary.
Ideally you need to get the car plugged in to a Diagnostic computer and see what fault code are stored.

Thanks

CAR WONT PULL PROPLY AND SMOKES SINCE AND MAKES A SCREAMIN NOISE

you should not run the car any more and have the oil pressure checked to be sure the oil pump is pumping hell check the oil first you may have already done the damage i don't know how hard you were driving it when this happened .good luck
