The chain on the 2.5 engine has a very unique way of being timed.if you are replacing the chains there should be installation instructions to get the engine timed correctly. you have to follow the instructions to a"T".
Testimonial: "Thank you...yep it's a 2.5 and it worked..thanks again."

there are four 18mm bolts on the opposite side of dust plate.once u remove thoe bolts, you'll have to either use a slide hammer, or the old fashion way a big hammer and smack it side to side.the whole hub and wheel bearing assembly will come out.The dust sheild is in between the hub and axel once it comes apart u will understand.

153624 on a six cylinder. This should be in cast on the intake manifold. To locate what tower to use on the cap, do this. pull the #1 plug. Bring it to tdc on the compression stroke. Now chk out where the rotor is pointing and that's the tower for #1. Good Luck -Ned-
SOURCE: how often do i replace the timing chain 1999
The belt is supposed to last for 105,000 miles. These sebring cars are notorious for breaking timing belts well before then. If your car has over 80,000 on it I would schedule a timing belt change in the near future. Don't be surprized if you have to also change the water pump.

Google "Chrysler Auto salvages" and you should get a hit from Danny's Salvage right here in Tulsa, OK. If he doesn't have the part, he can get it for you in a week-10 days. He should offer remanufactored control arms with a warrentee on them for about half of the dealer's price. I think NAPA carries them too. You will need some specialized tools to do it yourself. Advance, O'Reilley's, and so on rent the tools you need. It's pretty hard, dirty work, and pounding on a "pickle fork" with a 5lb. hammer ain't fun in the driveway. An air-powered splitter is easy. You might want to take it to a front-end shop, because 5 to 1 there will be other parts that need replacing. Played this last year on my '04 Dakota; lower ball joints, AND bushings and some more little stuff.
