How do you Remove the heater/AC Fan on a 1999 Toyota 4Runner

Yeah.
Pine needles get into the heater box and clog the heater fan motor's "fan".
You also may have rodents in there,making nests.
The wife was smart to turn off the heater fan B-4 the fuse blew.

remove the blower mtr. and ck for debries in the cage if not replace

yes it is. most heater fans on chrysler products are real easy.you might find a dead mouse or mouse nest in there throwing fan off balance

You should be able to remove just the fan blower from under the passenger side dash and clean out the housing and the blower wheel

6 screws to remove glove box, One plastic nut on kick panel and 3 screws hold the blower to the air box.

The most obvious problem could be that something has fallen down into what is called the squirel cage of the fan.

Every once in a while a mouse will decide to build a nest there.

Common issue. Remove the heater fan, and extract the rodent nest. There is really no way to prevent this from reoccurring.

It's under the glove box by your feet. Should just be three screws and it will fall right out.
