I have a Seat Leon (56 reg). Last week i noticed that setting 1 - 3 on the fan control had stopped working. Setting 4 still worked fine. Yesterday setting 4 stopped working too. I've stripped the control unit from the dash and cleaned up the contacts and tried it again but still no life. I then checked all the fuses, i didn't expect to find any blown but i did. a 40amp fuse had gone. I can't be sure of the number as i can't get my head far enough over to read it. I tried another fuse (only had a 30amp spare) and it blew after about 3seconds of turning the fans on. I'll try replacing it again tomorrow with a 40 but am not convinced that it'll fix it. Any idea's? Any help would be appreciated. Thank you. Andy

I have the exact same issue, fuses are fine (checked with new ones), also purchased a new resistor, part 1KO 959 263A, did not solve the issue, but now when I put the fan on setting 1, 2, or 3 I can here the current move into the resistor, so thinking I will check the control unit next, but it could be the regulator based on some other blogs, let me know how you get on
