I had no cool AC, I recharged. Now the compressor makes this clicking noise on and off while the AC is on. Very little cool air coming out. Pressure seems fine checked with gauge but very little to no AC and now hearing this clicking noise when I have the AC on.
SOURCE: clicking noise behind the glove box
The little box is called the blend door actuator. It is an inexpensive fix, and you should be able to do it at home. There are a lot of online step by step guides to fix it! Good luck, i hope it helps, i am having the same issue!
SOURCE: noise from front of motor
Yes the idler pulley can make noise, but not very common. It can do it though.
SOURCE: AC system, compressor not engaging.
Sounds like your a/c system is low on freon, system has a low pressure switch which disables a/c compr.so that it don't damage a/c compr, it would be kind of like running an engine with on oil it would damage an engine, what needs to be done is have dye injected in to a/c system to be able to fine the leak, once leak is found can be repaired and recharge with freon, system will work good after repair has been done.Good luck
SOURCE: A/C compressor clutch won't engage, system won't cool
Your system might be low on freon. Get a kit with a hose that has a gauge on it so you can see if you are in the "Good" range. The cycling switch won't close unless there is enough freon in the system. You can temorarily jumper the connector for the cycling switch to see if the compressor will come on. If it does, you are low on freon for sure. Do not let the compressor run for more than 15 - 30 seconds with it jumpered.
report back results.
