How do i replace the headlight lens ona 1991 honda accord
Just unscrew/twist the bulb holder ,about a quarter trun, at the back of the headlight unit.
I just got done doing both of mine. Here is a little more complete an answer:
1. If it is the left headlight you will want to remove the battery because there isn't much room for your hand otherwise.
2. The headlight is held in place by a plastic housing/holder. Turn this holder 1/4 turn counter clockwise. This may not be easy, as the housing can tend to get gummed up and stuck. If it won't budge (as mine didn't at first) try using a large set of gripper pliers for some added torque.
3. Once the housing has been rotated, wiggle the bulb back out of the housing.
4. Now you need to remove the wire attachment from the bulb. There is a clip that needs to disengaged. Do this by pushing down on the little lever at the end/bottom of the attachment. This will lever the clip (at the top of the attachment) away from the wedge on the bulb's exterior so you can slide the wire attachment off. This too might need some prying and wiggling to disengage.
5. Attach the new bulb to the wire attachment, sliding the attachment up until it clicks over the bulb housing wedge.
6. Place the bulb back in the plastic housing by aligning the tabs on the bulb with the openings on the housing. Make sure it is all the way inserted.
7. Turn the bulb holder back clockwise this time 1/4 turn to secure the bulb in place.
8. If you had to remove the battery, reconnect it.
