I need to remove the whole map light assembly, the light bulb on passenger side (part and bulb) went up into the over head area and is rattling around!

How do I remove the whole assembly without damaging ceiling or Map light/Sunglasses compartment assembly? I can not find anything on the subject, or am I looking for the wrong instructions??

SOURCE: How to replace map & dome light bulbs on a 2008 Ford F-150 Super

2008 Ford F-150 SuperCrew Cab (without moon roof or rails): How to replace the map light bulbs.  First, you'll need a "trim pad remover."  It is a tool with a screwdriver handle and the metal part has a 'smooth' forked tongue (see Snap-on Stock#: A177A for picture).  Go to the center counsel and "gingerly" work around he counsel and pull down at the same time.  The counsil is held in by six snap in tongs.  It should remove pretty easily.  once down, you'll see where the bulbs are.  Unscrew and replace.  Now, just line up the tongs and gently bump or hit the pressure points (where the tongs are) and it should snap into place.  It should take no more than five minutes, tops.

SOURCE: cannot remove tail light assembly

I had the HARDEST time with the lights...I never realized changing a bulb would be so difficult. Once you unscrew what you need to, go into the trunk and pull the lining away from the back part of the light. There are the white prongs that you will need to tap with a hammer until they pop out and then the light assembly will come out. Be careful though, I got a little too impatient and broke mine. I used a binding agent to hold it back in place though...GOOD LUCK!

SOURCE: Need to replace a headlight assembly for a 2006 Subaru Outback.

No, you just remove the radiator grill and the side marker light and the headlight housing bolts and it comes out. Not a real hard job and is Real straight forward. Good luck and have a good day.

SOURCE: 2007 Chrysler TOWN AND COUNTRY.. OVRHEAD MAP

I had the same problem on my 07 and it turned out to be caused by the bulbs getting too hot and melting the surrounding plastic which opened the circuit powering them. I was able to fix the problem by removing the bulbs and cleaning the sockets allowing the bulbs to seat correctly. The lenses snap off to give you access to the bulbs. If you are not familiar with how interiors of cars come apart, I would not suggest doing it as you may crack the lens.

SOURCE: replace driver side lowbeam headlight on a Honda 2005 Civic EX

  1. 1 Locate and remove the power steering reservoir from behind the driver's side headlight assembly. Pull straight upward, sliding it off its mount and set aside for access to the headlight bulb. Make sure you keep it upright so it does not spill.
  2. Step 2 Locate and remove the electrical connector from the back of the bulb. Depress the locking tab to release it and pull the connector down, removing it from the bulb.
  3. Step 3 Turn the bulb counterclockwise ¼-turn then pull the bulb straight out of the headlight assembly. Insert a new bulb into the headlight assembly and turn it ¼-turn clockwise to lock it in place.
  4. Step 4 Install the electrical connector by plugging it into the bottom of the bulb. Push the connector in until the locking tab engages the bulb, securing it to the bulb.
  5. Step 5 Slide the power steering pump reservoir onto its mount.

How do I change my driver side back up light? Do I need whole assembly?

Year/make/model?? Most back up lights are designed to have a replaceable bulb. Some you can access from a removable panel in the trunk area and twist the bulb out. Others require the entire lens assembly to be removed for bulb access. The lenses are normally held in place with plastic type screws/clips

How to replace the over head map lights or the center over head reading lights

There are two types of overhead consolse on this truck. One has a storage compartment connected to the map light section, and one with a seperate removable section behind the map lights that has a lever on both sides that can be pulled down. If you have the levers, pull them both down at once and pull the section off the rail. Then insert a screw driver between the rail and the map light assembly at the rear, and gently pry down. If you don't have the side levers, insert a screw driver at the rear of the assembly and gently pry down the entire section. Once removed, press the tab down on the power connector for the wiring harness (white connector whth four wires) remove it, and remove the assembly. You will see two black connectors that hold the bulbs. Remove them by twising counter clockwise, and pull out the bulbs. Replace them with the 900 series bulb, or LED bulbs. Once the bulbs are back in place, reconnect the power connector, and gently tap the assembly back in place with the palm of your hand to reseat the clips.
Caution!, test the bulbs before you put the assembly back in place. LEDs are polarity sensitive.

How do i change the headlight bulb on my 05 uplander

On my 2003 trailblazer (as far as I know they are the same), See note below for passenger side. Remove the dust cover on the back of the head light assembly (black round rubber cover about 3" in diameter, just pull it off), disconnect the plug on the bulb, turn the bulb a 1/8 turn and pull it out. Then reverse the process for assembly. ***NOTE***If you are trying to replace one of the bulbs on the passenger side, remove the air filter housing cover and displace the filter for access to the dust covers on the back of the head light. 2 screws hold the air filter housing cover on, one directly behind it and one on the side (drivers side of air filter housing).

If my front pasenger is burned out is it just the

This vehicle is new enough it is just the Bulb for the head light. Open the hood and look in the area just behind the head light and you will see the wires leading to it. You should also see a collar looking connection you can unscrew to remove the bulb assembly. Remove this and unplug the bulb and insert the replacement and re-insert the assembly screwing the collar down. Make sure you get the collar screwed back down completely, this is what makes the Headlight assembly water tight.

How do i change the brake light on jeep liberty 2006?

1) You will need to open the rear swing door.

2) On the inside jam there are two torx headed screws (T-15's if I remember correctly).

3) Unscrew the two torx screws.

4) The light is now held by two mounting tabs (small spherical headed plastic sets that go through a rubber grommet).

5) You will need to pry the light casing off (easy pressure with a good size flat head screw driver will do the trick).

6) The light bulbs are twist mount settings inside the light casing.

7) Twist out the mount setting, change the bulbs, and reset the light mountings.

8) To put the light casing push the light casing back on and put in the screws. Everything else will work in reverse when it comes to assembling the whole unit.

Can't get passenger side marker light out on a 2007 kia spectra

There is one bolt on top of the radiator support and another in back. The assy fits into a pluug that keeps it aligned so it cam be tough to remove. Just wiggle it side to side while pulling and it'll slowly come out.

Are you looking to fix the bulb that is in the corner of the headlamp? You don't need to remove the head light for that. The is a black cap that screws off just beind it.

How replace break light bulb in on a4 2005

Replacement of any bulb in the Tail-light assembly is easier then one thinks.

First thing you need to do is gain access to the trunk area. At the top of
the tail-light area inside the trunk is a small circle that needs to be
opened to expose the bolt that you need to remove.

WARNING: Be careful not to loose this bolt or you are going to have to take
apart your trunk interior to retrieve it.

After the bolt is removed the Tail-light assembly will pull out as follows;
Left side: pull out the right side of the assembly
Right side: pull out the left side of the assembly.
The out side of the assembly is held in place by 2 or 3 small nipples.

There will only be one cable that is connected to the assembly. This does not
have to be removed unless you really want to. On both sides of the assembly
there are 2 clips that hold the light plate to the break light lens. After
the clips are loosened the whole light bulb assembly can be removed and the
bulbs replaced.

Restoring the Break-light assembly.

After you have replaced your bulbs and re attached the the bulb assembly, you
will have to first fit the nipples on the outer side of the assembly then
push the inter side into place. Replace the bolt and tighten. You are done.
