Over heating,water doesn't move in raditor

The thermostat & water pump to name two.

Take off the belt & feel for the water pump bearing

Follow the top raditor hose to motor. Sometimes it following bottom. But some of time its following the top.

the windstar has a problem with heater control doors

FLUSH RADIATOR, HEATER CORE AND ENGINE BLOCK.ADD 50 / 50 ANTIFREEZE AND WATER ALSO REPLACE RADIATOR PRESSURE CAP.IF TEMPERATURE GAUGE STILL STAY HIGH THE ENGINE COOLANT TEMPERATURE SENSOR COULD BE FAULTY.

YOU NEED TO CHECK YOUR COILENT AND RADITOR SYSTEM YOU HAVE TO CHANGE THE ANTIFREEZE ABOUT EVERY 5 YEARS OR SO YOU HAVE CLOGGED RADITOR AND HEATER COREGO GET SOME RADITATOR FLUSH PUT IT IN THE RADITATOR LET VEHICLE IDLE READ DERICTIONS ON CAN DRAIN ANTIFREEZE REFILL WITH WATER AND DO IT AGAIN THEN PUT NEW ANTIFREEZE IN USE A HOSE AND RUN LOTS OF WATER THROUGH SYSTEM IN EVERY DERICTION YOU CAN THIS MEANS THE HEATER CORE LINES TO GOOD LUCK PIER.J

If water pump leaking replace both, if not and truck is over heating start with thermostat.

1 Inspect Hose Ruptured, Cracked or Leaking Raditor Hose. 2 Inspect Head Gasket Leaking Head Gasket. 3 Inspect Thermostat Thermostat Stuck Closed. 4 Inspect Raditor Cap Worn or Damaged Raditor Cap. 5 Inspect Raditor Raditor Fins Obstructed. 6 Inspect Belt Missing or Broken Water Pump Belt. 7 Inspect Heater Core Heater Core May Be Leaking Antifreeze/Coolant into The Vehicles Floor Area. 8 Inspect Intake Manifold Gasket Leaking, Worn, or Damaged Intake Manifold Gasket. 9 Inspect Cooling Fan Switch - Raditor Faulty Raditor Cooling Fan Sensor/Switch. 9 Inspect Water Pump Leaking Water Pump. 9 Inspect Raditor Fan Motor Faulty Raditor Cooling Fan Motor. 9 Inspect Relay - Raditor Cooling Fan Motor Faulty Cooling Fan Relay. 9 Inspect Fan Blade Broken, Missing, or Faulty Fan Blade(s).

REPLACE THE THERMOSTAT

at the raditor top hose end-engine side.
