How to remove power stering light on 2008 volkswagen

does it come along with total NO LIGHTS on dash? the u need the EVC ( stering column ecu ) and specific cases only goes with a new comfort module

There is a good chance that the steering is ELECTRIC and NOT hydraulic on this year/make/model VW ... so there is NO RESERVOIR

Your best bet would be to take it to a qualified repair shop. Special tool's and knowledge are needed . Scan tools , electrical diagnostic , service information . Your vehicle has a bunch of computers (control modules) C.A.N. cantroller area network serial data communication networks . Hi speed , med. speed , low speed . The power steering is electronic ,computer controlled , sensors on the steering shaft .With those light's lit , DTC'S - diagnostic trouble codes are stored etc... Plus there is a real chance of being electrocuted. High voltage !

You will need basic hand tools. First take off the serpentine belt. Unhook the high and low pressure lines, they should be toward the rear of the pump. Remove the four bolts securing it to the engine. Replace the pump and make sure to refill fluid.--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

It is not possible to have that reset or turned off "Service now!" without using a diagnostic scantool connected to the data link connector of the car. This is the only one way to reset service due light on a 2008 Volkswagen Passat.

this system can be tested for codes, I would suggest you have the dealer do this test, all the parts are very expensive so guessing is not a good idea. most probale cause is a wheel motion sensor on the steering column.

I have the same problem, I will know what to do november 19 2008, after the Saturn dealer will troubleshoot what it's faulty exactly. So Stand by
