1990 Cadillac Deville Sedan won't start i think it's the distributor. what is the wiring diagram for the spark plugs

now you need to check compression...You'll need a compression guage. Check all the cylinders and compare the results...If you do have spark and (in this cas) a fuel sorce. the last thing you need for combustion is the right amout of compression.

No spark....You need to check to see if you have spark at the spark plug. There is a spark testing tool made just for this...I'm sure you'll find that you don't have spark...

Sounds like the module inside the distributor is starting to fail. If the engine turns over at normal speed but won't start then grab a spark checker and put it at the end of a spark plug wire and crank the engine. If if sparks then you have a fuel problem. If no spark then look to the distributor module or possibly the wiring harness inside the distributor. I have seen where the power wire, pink I believe, goes open at the black plastic box connector inside the distributor and can be tested with an ohmmeter. If that is the problem then replace the 2 wiring harnesses that make up the distributor wiring harness because the plastic connector will break apart when trying to remove the terminal and that makes it difficult to put back together. If you're saying it turnes over but doesn't start I think of two things. If it is not getting power to the spark plugs I think it is the ignition module inside the distributor(small black box on bottom inside). If it is getting power to the spark plugs I would check the fuel pressure. If no or little fuel then fuel filter and or the fuel pump.

To avoid confusion, remove and tag the spark plug wires one at a time, for replacement.
If a distributor is not keyed for installation with only one orientation, it could have been removed previously and rewired. The resultant wiring would hold the correct firing order, but could change the relative placement of the plug towers in relation to the engine. For this reason it is imperative that you label all wires before disconnecting any of them. Also, before removal, compare the current wiring with the accompanying illustrations. If the current wiring does not match, make notes in your book to reflect how your engine is wired.

Had a computer on my 1990 Cadillac Deville bad, after changing plugs, wires, cap, fuel injectors, egr valve, etc.

The computer was not firing an injector and i had a miss and rough running mostly at 35 mph on the roads. It bucked like a bull.in a rodeo.
