Air bag light rest 525i 2004 - 2004 BMW 5 Series

    Removed the seat for repair the back incline. the 2 electrical plugs were disconnected for seat removal. After installation of the seat and connecting the same two plufs the airbag and seat belt lights stay on. How can these lights be reset?

Airbag light on means some DTCs stored in your airbag,
so you should get a airbag reset tool to do your car,meybe B800 BMW airbag reset tool can do your car.

When the air bag system has a problem it uses the air bag light tell you what the codes are. Three flashes then 1 or 2 second pause then 2 flashes would be a code 32. Then Google it and find out what the code is for. Hope this helps

Air bag light on how do i reset the computer
you cant you have to go to dealership or a good shop with the wright computer airbag light can also turn on when one of the sensors go out to if you fix the sensor it will go out but if it is the head computer box for the air bag system you either have to replace it or go to the dealer to get it reset that system is differnt the the computer for the rest of the that one is all by it self

How ridiculous is that?Sorry to say this but sometimes people listen to anything they are told!! How can a new battery prevent an air bag light from going on?? You need to have the car connected to a pc or diagnostic tool in order to erase this light..Never buy any battery without knowing the exact fault..
