What's the CEL code? Most mechanics try to avoid EVAP codes, if that's what it is.

SOURCE: engine light on 2005 Hyundai accent

Engine Light 'ON' is a warning light from the inbuilt system. As far as your car is driving good, no need o worry about the light.

This is from the electronic control unit signal. This can occur due to some sensor performance present in the engine. Take it to the nearest dealer. They have a diaganosis unit to fix it easy.

Check engine light is back on on a Hyundai Accent 2005

Most major automotive parts stores will read the check engine light codes for free. That will lead you into the direction of what needs to be repaired. Clock would most likely not be related to the check engine light..

I just took my Hyundai 2002 Accent to get inspected. The emissions test light would not come on. Mechanic said it would have to go to the dealer to get the computer reset. Does this cost a lot?

There not exist any computer reset that correct a emission out of range. If the car is running without the check engine light comes lit ( it means if you drive the car more than 40 miles and the check engine light remains off) and the emissions are out of the range, is necessary check if the engine is operating in normal coolant temperature ( half way to the top), check if the air filter is free, check for the spark plugs are working properly, and check if the catalytic converter is at least in 13% of CO2. Also check with a scanner tool if have any engine code stored in the memory.

2007 Hyundai Accent GS 3door engine light P2096 fix at dealer? Can it be fixed, tired of going to mechanic 1 a month for engine light for same problem.

this refers to the fuel being to lean, there may be a leak in a air intake pipe or the air filter has become dislodged , check also for a fuel leak , check for a worn vacuum pipr , get your self a workshop manual will give you step by step guide's, also try a fuel addative , get one that covers the catalytic convertor as well as the valves etc keep me posted if you wish

Check engine light comes on

The infamous 'Check Engine' light turns on for any of several reasons. Some are incredibly simple to fix and should be checked before you spend anything going to a dealer or mechanic. Most newer vehicles have a gas tank pressure sensing monitor which will give an inaccurate error and turn on the light if your gas cap is not replaced properly. Unscrew the gas cap completely and replace, making sure to tighten it securely. Start the car and check the light again.
Other things to check yourself are the fluid levels making sure that filler caps are properly secured.
If after trying all the DIY fixes the light remains on you'll need to take it a mechanic. With any luck, one of the DIY fixes will work and save you $$$

TRANSMISSION..KEEPS SLIPPING OUT OF GEAR ..AUTOMATIC

The automatic transaxels in Hyundai Vehicles are electronically controlled by the transaxel range switch and the various solenoids inside the trans. The only 'mechanical' control is the shifter cable connected between the shifter inside the vehicle & its connection to the trans range switch on top of the transmission. Did the 'Check Engine' Light come ON? Whenever the 'CHECK ENGINE' (Service Engine Soon) light comes on, the ECU (Engine Control Unit) sets a Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC). These codes identify the particular powertrain management system which caused the light to come on. You'll need to use/find an OBDII (On-Board Diagnostic) Scanner to retrieve any code which have been stored in the ECU computer. Afterward, we might be able to help you DIAGNOSE the problem and perhaps eventually fix the problem.
