It is pretty easy, but care must be taken so as to not damage the door panel. I recommend purchasing a door panel clip removal tool for this purpose. They are available at most parts retailers for just a few dollars. Using these tools to relaese the plastic clips on the door panel can save you a lot of aggravation and expense.
> Remove the triangular-shaped cover that covers the inside portion of the door mirror mountings. It simply "un-clips".
> Remove the screw that retains the bezel over the indide door release handle and remove the bezel.
Remove the two scres retaining the door panel to the door frame. One is under the triangle cover behind the mirror that you removed, and the other goes straight down into the pocket of the door pull.
Then use the special door clip release tool (recommended) or another suitable tool to pop the clips loose around the perimeter of the door panel. Lift out and up to remove door panel.
Installation is the reverse order.

Most likely the window regulator cables got tangled. That happened on 3 of my windows, but the motor should be fine they usually last quite a while. Electronics are good, but the mechanical part sucks. There are 2 cables one pulls the window up while the other cable winds onto a pulley. The pulley has channels in it that the cables sometime jump out of and get derailed. Replacing the window reg can cost 50 if you're lucky to 100 at Autozone or checker, that doesn't include labor. You can do it yourself, but it's a pain in the ****. Give yourself around 3 hours to do it because you will spend a while getting the window threshold or whatever the hell it is that seals it back into place. Use WD-40 to lube it so that it will slide onto the window. You'll know what I mean if you do it yourself. At the dealer plan on 300 to get it done.

don't know why but the glue gets weak where the plastic pieces attach to the bottom of the window.i've had to fix mine more than once.remove the door panel, then take the nuts lose from the back of the plastic retainers,then-going by the residue left from the old glue mark where the retainers go back-re glue, realine and reinstall.panel removal-philips screw holding the door handle,1 philips screw holding armrest/window controls, two philips screws at front of panel above speaker, then gently pry clips behind the edges of the panel.if the plastic window retainers are beyond repair,i think they have them in the help section of advance/autozone.

Most door panels are just cliped in but you do have some screws. stars, if you start at upper right and to the right your first one is in the door pull or opener area, then there is one inside the light at the edge of panel. (if this is appacable). pull up and away from door slowly to make sure that all screws have been removed and that you do not pull apart any wires.
SOURCE: how to replace interior door latch on elantra?
Remove any and all screws from the door panel, including removing lock and window controls. then take a large flat-tipped screwdriver and pry off the panel all the way around. FInally lift panel up and off the door. Now you will have access to the inside of the door. Everything from here is self explainable.
