SOURCE: subaru impreza automatic transmission won t shift

Try replacing the transmission filter and the trannie fluid. Mine would only go in reverse, and now it drives pretty well. This year has a screw on filter. Hope this helps

SOURCE: where are the fuse boxes located in a 1999 subaru

The fuse is down on the right side of the steering wheel. It is below the plastic dash. Its a small box hidden away to the right. Small plastic square lid. Easiest to find if u scoot the seat right back and have a good look above the accelerator to the right!

I have the same problem with no spark on subaru impreza 1995 and i changed the coil changed the cam sensor and changed the crank sensor and still no spark what comes next?????

I think that year may have an ignition fuse, if that's not it you might try the igniter, also check to see if the check engine light comes on when you turn the key on, if not you may have a bad ECU (computer).

My car is a 2004 Subaru WRX STI, and the code is cylinder 1 misfire. what does this mean? and how do i fix it? Thank You

That means that the fuel being injected into cylinder 1 is not being ignited at the proper time.

Check your spark plug wires for damage and make sure that the plug boot or coil assembly is seated properly on the plug.

If all of the above are correct then it needs to have the spark plugs changed.

2000 subaru forester ignition coil wiring

Are there any other possible problems, or you are just not receiving spark at all now?

The coilpack could be dead and just need replaced. If you have a voltmeter or a test light, check the wiring on both sides of the coilpack harness to make sure it is receiving power.
I don't believe Subaru used ignitors past '99, but if they did, your should be located on the firewall behind the throttle body. Make sure it's plugged in and receiving power.

Coil packs do go bad from time to time. I had to replace mine in my
'98 Impreza a while back.

Goodluck!

1995 subaru impreza loses power sporadically, on occassion

the owner of the car should do to check the electrical system of the car.the owner of the car should be able to locate and check ignition system.Prepare the tools and equipment to be use in checking the ignition system.so that when the ignition system is checked it will function properly.Locate the ignition system ,the ignition switch ,the ignition coil ,the distributor assembly, the spark plug .checked corroded switch ,check ignition coil, check distributor assembly.the contact point gap, condenser.Check the high tension wires and terminals. check wires and connection ,check spark plug gap.observe all safety rules. and don't forget the battery,if the battery is low in electricity then you have to charge it. But if corroded then you have to clean it, but if worn out or malfunctioning then the battery should be replace. And all of these said parts of ignition system if there are worn out parts then replace them if corroded then clean them.If the owner cant do the job then it is advise that the owner should go to the car shop mechanic then the mechanic do the job done.
