My battery died, so i put brand new battery in few days later changed the alternator and car started with jump.thne fitted new alternator belt.now i have no power when key is in the ignition.help7 no dash lights what so ever.battery and alternator have very low power
I have a 2000 vw passat 1.8t and just installed a brand new starter. Its only clicking, it will not do anything else... There is a wire connect to the solenoid and then clip, then near the motor mount, under there is another wire... I believe is for ground, as before it was connected to the starter and the battery sparked when attempted hookup. So i mounted it to a bracket and the sparks minimized... But now upon starting, it just clicks.... Any suggestions or photos to help?
Dear Sir:
See the diagrams attached and proceed with logic system troubleshooting. Look for vibration, loose wires, dirty, dust, corrosion, solenoid defective.
God bless you
You can bypass the switch ignition connect one side to the positive batery and the other in the starter solenovw passat no power and no crank - 5_25_2012_9_18_22_am.jpglate the problem.
I need you email address for to send more information inmediately. God bless you.
The coil must be when you see the spark plug cables + the fuses in the main box located to the side of battery normally is black box. Open it. You can try to Run the starter if you make a short circuit with a pliers if you do, you will see which is the problem. My email:[email protected] , i willl be waiting.

SOURCE: New battery in 03 VW Passat, engine turns but will not start.
Possible flooding, cold weather can freez open injectors causing them to leak into the cylinders. Press the gass pedal all the way to the floor and crank the engine for no more than 60 seconds. The cylinders will clear themselves allowing proper mix of air/fuel and should start easy. If that does not solve please specify if the engine is 1.8l or 2.8l.

Guys, what you are experiencing is the car built warning system. When your engine light blinks it indicates a Major Problem has occurred or is occurring in the engine. When this occurs the cars goes into a "safe," mode which means all power is cut by at least half in an effort to save the car from more major damage. You can take your VW to any large chain autoparts store (autozone, advance, etc) a lot of them are offering a free engine diagnosis. Do this if possible to see where the problems maybe coming from and ways to fix them.

THIS ONE IS COMPLICATED ONE RELAY AND SO MANY PROBLEMS CAN CAUSE THIS PROBLEM
1) THE RELAY YOU ARE HAVING TROUBLE WITH ON THE FUSE BOX COVER THERE SHOULD BE A CHART OF WHAT FEEDS WHAT WHAT DOES THE LID SAY IT FEEDS
2) TRY PULLING THE FUSE TO THE SUN ROOF AND DOOR LOCKS AND REPLACE THE RELAY IF IT STAYS IN YOU HAVE A PROBLEM WITH ONE OR THE OTHER. THIS COULD BET A MOTOR PROBLEM ON THE SUN ROOF OR A DOOR LATCH PROBLEM.
WE WILL TAKE THIS ONE STEP AT A TIMEIF THIS DOES NOT WORK, E-MAIL ME AT [email protected]
IF THIS DOS'NT WORK I'LL HELP YOU THE BEST I CAN WITH OUT SEEING THE CAR. THIS IS ONE OF THOSE PROCESS OF ELIMINATION REPAIRS AND TO TAKE IT TO A REPAIR SHOP THIS IS GOING TO BE EXSPENSIVE
