Starter cranks doesn't start quick clicking & ECU flashes quickly

1988 Honda CRX Si
Starter cranks yet doesn't start quick clicking sound [seem like near fuel injection] & ECU flashes quickly and does not stop.
Clicking stops when rotating starter and starts when key is on.

Thanks for the reply, yet the start is rotating and the ECU is flashing constantly. Any other possibilities? thanks

My 1989 CRX does the same thing. I have had a problem for a long time where it will start most of the time but every once in a while it will turn over but it will click and the engine light will come on and then it will not start until i can get the light back off. I have pulled a relay out and think it has somethng to do with that because i can hear the clicking coming from the relay. Have replaced the ignition in the past but think it is either the relay or the fuel injector... Any ideas? Now it will not start at all and it seems as though this is a common problem.

It sound like you have a bad starter solenoid.
It clicks like crazy and will not engage the starter if it is bad or going out!

91 Honda CRX HF won't crank

This may sound obvious but have you checked the battery? Batteries are generally considered old if they are over 5 years old. A battery can hold a full charge but struggle when put 'under load'. Starter motors use a lot of power to work. Get it "Load Tested" to see if it needs replacing.

1991 Honda Accord Starting/Ignition trouble

sounds like a bad battery or the battery cables are corroded where they hook up to the battery or loose. if it cranks for a couple seconds slow than clicks quickly there isnt enough voltage getting to the starter. not all new parts are good.

Honda crx

cut away boot..its dust..use tape or get replacement... have you tested/replaced ignitor assembly...also sounds like could have massive vacuum leak...try spraying carb cleaner while cranking around intake snorkle and intake mainfold area to see if it wakes up...good luck
