I got a chevy lumina for free but the problem is it won't turn over. I replaced the battery and put it in. The lights were working and everything but when I go to start it the starter makes a click then all the electricity shuts off and I'm almost back to square one. People have been telling me that it is the starter so I look in the engine bay and I can't seem to find the starter. I can't seem to find where the starter is and if someone could show me where it is or have more information that could fix my problem I would be pretty thankful.
If everything shuts off when you try to start it you most likley have a bad wiring connection, check connections at battery and fuse block.
the starter is located on the lower front of the engine where the engine and the transmission come together, just above the subframe.
Front of the engine, look under the car it is round and big.
