Hi,

I'm Ben and hopefully, I can provide some meaningful assistance.

I will rule out a defective fuse or relay since the other windows are working properly. That leaves the following possibilities:

  1. Check the wiring that winds its way through the door channel. Repair any cracks or breaks.
  2. Rubber shrinks when it gets warm (that's not a mistype) and can seize a window in a death grip.
  3. Worn rubber and fabric in the window channel can fray and create a binding effect.
  4. A malfunctioning regulator (the mechanical device that raises and lowers the window).
  5. A defective motor is the last possibility.

SOURCE: how to remove a convertable roof from a mazda mx5

With the top up, remove the carpet and panels on the back shelf and at the base of the top. You should see three metal bars running around the base of the top. There are thirteen 10mm nuts that hold these bars on. Remove these (when reapplying, they should be torqued to 70-95 INCH pounds and there is a specific sequence, search the internet for the diagram - I think it was a like via Moss Motors Miata. That's about all I can tell you.

1991 mazda mx5 eunos roadster radiator clogged with oil

Your radiator is leaking internally, leaking transmission fluid from the transmission fluid cooler into the radiator where the coolant is. You can't fix it, just get the radiator replaced and then flush the coolant.

Manual window winder just spinning and not opening window. My car is a Mazda MX5 Mark 1 1.8 1996 model.

You either need a new window crank itself, the inside of the crank could be stripped, you move the crank and out at it to see if the splines are wore away. Or your window regulator, inside the door, has gone bad and would need replaced.

MX5 (2006) replacing wing mirror

at the top of the door pull handle there is a cover over a set screw. do not pull on the door to hard or you will break it and then your door panel is no good. you must remove the little cover at the top, just gently pry it of with a screw driver and remove the screw underneath.

How to remove door card on MX5 (2002)

Get a trim removal tool to use in pulling the door panel off. You will have to remove the screws under the arm rest as you find them. I would start at the bottom of the door and work up. You may want to assume that the work will progress better if the window is down before you begin. Mind the door handle as you remove things as the biggest complaint I've seen is that it fails to work right on the first try after getting things put back. Keep a magnet that has a telescoping arm handy to pick up things that fall to the bottom of the door. To remove window crank handles if you have them, put the trim tool behind the handle and engage the wire clip to remove it.
