Well, if thevfuse blows, and you find the problem, how will you replace the fuse? And fuses do go bad at times. In my experience I had a circuit that operated the drop down bunk stop operating. Nobody could tell me where the fuse was. After many hours looking and searching, I found a fuse just laying in the bottom of a compartment. It was the same rating as the fuse in the wiring diagram. Some more searching in that box and what! An empty fuse holder! If only I knew where that fuse was!!

Then, to answer the question you asked, the trunk release circuit is protected by the "TRUNK" fuse. It is Fuse #22 (10 Amp) located in the Rear Fuse Block in the left side of the rear compartment, behind the left rear wheel well.
