2005 nissan sentra blowing cold air. No leaks on floorboard, coolant level is ok and is clean, the air seems to have no heat at all in it. No indication of air pockets in system and no indication of engine overheating
My 05 sentra with 79k miles heat will warm up and then get cold after a mile of driving, we have tried to get the air pocket out, the mechanic stated he thought it could be a blown head gasket, another mechanic said it was a bad heater core. Any advice would be appreciated.
Your heater box that houses your heater core more b broken. I got the same problem. I'm looking for a heater box for a 1996 nissan sentra. Anyone with any information please help asap ?
Check the heater control valve. if the vacuum hose connector on top is reversed, it will stay closed when engine is running, no matter where the temp lever is positioned. pull that connector, turn it 180 and plug it back in.

I have the same problem with my 2005 Sentra, 1.8 engine. I replaced the thermostat and water pump. The radiator is clear, clean and functioning. Fans are operating on radiator. Heater blows cold air and tube leading to firewall are cool. Top radiator hose is hot bottom is cold when engine is at operating temp. Temperature gauge moves from normal to hot and back very quickly.
have an 05 sentra w/1.8 changed thermostat and pulled the pump tocheck for obstructions in the block every thing is clear the vehicle has less than 50,000 mi heater blows cold air moter temp goes up when you hold 2500 or so rpm also the ac pump comes on intermittantly altho the ac button is not lit or depressed. by the way the pump is in as new condition. im stumped. radiator hoses, and block are clear . like one person stated temp guage will max out so ikill the engine for a few minutes and restart both cooling fans are on but seems there is no flow thru the block . any help would be appreciated THX.
my dad has the same problem, from what i can gather there is air getting into the cooling system and it's creating a air pocket in the only place it can. The heater core. there is a small bolt on the driver side of the head which you have to blead the system through for a while. The bolt is located beside the termostat. He is the 2001 sentra but it should be the same generation as the 2005+/- couple of years.
have a 2005 with same problem heater blowing cold air on all settings HELP !!
I have the same issue with my 2005 sentra SE! I have brought to 3 different places and now it's at Nissan, where they don't trust what I am saying because I am a girl! I payed them 600 dollars yesterday and they told me it was fixed. It is clearly not! I brought it back this morning! I have my car, and I trust nissan to fix it because they are nissan and my car is a nissan! But I hate getting the run around! Calgary is cold in the winter! Help!
feel both hoses going into the heater core. Are they both hot? If so there may be no flow through the core. One hose should be hot and the other should be warm. You could also have a blend door not passing the air over the heater core. Move the temp setting and listen for the moving door. Let me know what you find.
