On cool / cold nights, after it has been sitting for 2 or 3 hours, my '96 Grand Cherokee starts just fine, the after a minute or two of driving, it hesitates, then surges (once or twice), as if almost out of gas, drives fine for another minute or two, then dies with no warning. It feels as if all electricals are gone. So far the engine has started right up again and I've gotten home without further incident (stalled at most twice so far, in approx. 20 minutes' drive each time). Probably unrelated, but for years, the FM radio has cut in & out (AM & tape player work fine) and the dashboard lights dim then come back. Window controls & electric locks went out a couple of years ago & were repaired.
