2 Dr 1994 M3 3.0L E36 Splutter

Hi, I wonder if you could help me. The above motor vehicle splutters
sometimes at about 2000rpm and did this since a bought the vehicle about 2 years ago. It lately started spluttering at high speeds 200Kph and now at 140, 150 & 160kph. Since I have owned the vehicle I have serviced it including changing of spark plugs & replacing the airfilter with a K&N.
I also had a little oil on the spark plug caused by a leaking tappet cover gasket which I changed and sorted it out. People tell me the problem could be with one of the supressors as each cylinder/spark plug has its own coil or supressor and could cause one of the spark plugs to misfire or splutter. I have also heard it could be the HT leads.
Are any of these problems possible or what else could the problem be?

Best Regards

Why does my 1994 2.0 GT celica sound like its splutter/ misfiring mainly when I put the foot down

Not enough fuel. Could be fuel filter, fuel pressure, fuel pressure regulator(or vacuum to it), or clogged injectors. Could just need a tune up.

1.9 dci splutter on idle

What are the fault codes. Also it is still missing when you rev it up, the increased engine speed masks the missfire.
