My Altima has about 32K miles. My car acts like it's going to stall when I am going between between 40 to 75 mph. When I release the gas pedal, the car start to vibrate like the engine is about to stall. Give it a little push on the gas pedal and the car is back to normal. It doesn't happen often, but when it did, it's a pretty scary experience especially it's going 70 mph on the freeway. Any suggestion
Take the care to the dealer, This car is easily still under warranty and can be diagnosed and repaired for free.
I know this is an old post, but I'm wondering how you made out with this. I had the same problem with my 2008 Nissan Altima hybrid, it started out not too bad but got much more often. I had it towed to the dealer because it got so bad. They did a recall on it and then ran it. They said it was fine and charged me $89.95 for looking at it. They also charged the hybrid battery. I don't think I should have to pay if the problem was a recall that I never got a notice on. They are saying that wasn't the issue. I've seen several posts from owners bringing in their car and hearing the same response...there is nothing wrong.
The dealer stiffed me with a $125 diagnostic test. They couldn't find anything wrong with my car. Two and a half years ago, I've found the solution by a chance of luck . I saw a Shell ad on tv regarding their gasoline with nitrogen. By curiosity, I tried the supreme unlead and Lord be hold, no more misfiring and check engine light!!!! You got to use Shell premium or supreme only. Nothing else seems to work as good as Shell nitro gas. OBTW, my Altima has zero problem ever since I started using the Shell gas. So far, I've put in about 50k more miles on the car and it still running like new. Today, the maintenance display screen shows a shadow of a person with the words Maintenance and Other. I wonder what that mean. Good luck on your Altima.
