Brake light bulbs are illuminated within the rear combination light assemblies whenever the brake pedal is pressed. This happens because of the brake light switch (also known as the stop lamp switch) located above the brake pedal. Pressing the the brake pedal closes the internal contacts of the brake light switch which transfers power from the battery to the combination light assembly. For example, in a '94 Geo Tracker the STOP/HORN fuse (15A) supplies power to the brake switch via a green wire and then to the combination light assemblies via a green/white white wire whenever the brake switch contacts close. These are the only two wires for the brake switch. The combination light assemblies on the other hand have four wires; brake light input (green/white wire), tail light input (red/blue wire), turn signal input (green wire) and ground (black wire). If all of the brake lights are inoperative, chances are the brake switch has failed or the power-supply fuse has blown. This is because it is highly unlikely for all brake light bulbs to fail simultaneously (although not impossible). for the whole car? its huge.
but you are in luck ,
someone, (not me) scan the paper book to PDF
the only book on trackers ever done by a very motivated guy
took him a week to do that, im sure.
as you may not know but Geo nor suzuki used PDF then. ever.

I had the very same problem with my 94 tracker and it turned out to be something simple. My check engine light had popped on after it had hit 100,000. I went through all of the suggestions that people had suggested (unplug battery......etc) and still to no avail. Searching the internet, I came across a website called suzukiforum.com and there, this guy was able to help me with my problem. It turned out to be a maintenance switch that kicks on every 50,000 miles. This switch is like a secret that the auto manufactures use to ploy owners of their cars to bring to the dealer and then rack up the dollars in unnecessary "repairs". The switch is located under the dash and can be hidden anywhere. From the assistance of the guy on the forum, he was able to send me photos of this damn switch and possible locations where it may be mounted. I found mine in about 5 minutes, where it was attached to the steering column. It's a tiny switch, that you slide up or down, depending on what position it is in upon finding it. If it's up, then slide it in the down position and visa versa. Once you do this, the check engine light will go off. Make sure you do not have the car running and you can even unhook one of the battery posts, just to make sure you don't hit anything while rooting around under the dash. Good luck!
THERE IS A SWITCH UNDERNEATH THE STEERING COLUMN THAT WILL CORRECT THIS PROBLEM. I BOUGHT MY 1994 GEO TRACKER 4X4 BRAND NEW. IT TOOK ME SEVERAL SERVICE APPOINTMENTS FROM MY DEALER BEFORE I GOT THIS INFORMATION FROM MY MECHANIC.
