I just purchased a 2007 Ford Expedition Eddie Bauer pre owned vehicle and the radio played well in the city where we tested it, but once we got on the open road and in the town where we live, the reception is very staticy and at times nonexistent. I thought that it had to do with the fact that the previous owner had Sirius radio, but I called and had that taken off, but it has not improved the reception. I like listening to my radio as I drive please help. I never had a problem with reception in the 2001 Expedition that I totalled in a roll over accident on Nov.1, 2008.

SOURCE: diagram bypass heater cord on 2001 ford expedition eddie bauer
the heater bypass is quite simple, if you look at the firewall you will see two medium sized coolant lines, remove them from the firewall and link them together using a proper sized tube, you can purchase a kit at a parts store quite cheaply
SOURCE: location of air conditioner low pressure valve
The low pressure valve on the 01 expedition is located on the accumulator on the passenger side fire wall. The accumulator is underneath the battery relay and a grouping of wires. Had to squeeze hand underneath a heater hose and an a/c line to remove cap and hook up hose. Nothing has to be removed to locate the valve just a little touchy feely. Valve faces a 45 forward toward the engine.

They are round "cans" with wires attached. You should have SSA, SSB, SSC, Torque converter and Pressure Control solenoids. They control pressures and have no mechanical linkage.
