2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited is heating up

I get regular oil changes, coolant is full, but heating up for the past few days. Sounded so bad that I stopped driving it in fear of messing up the engine. There was also smoke coming out the tail pipe. When I park and turn it off, I can hear a sound that kind of sounds like water swishing around inside somewhere.

My 2001 grand jeep cherokee limited 8cyl seems to get hot. no heat coming out of heater. and coolant comin out of overflow..and trans actin up...help

Hi, It sounds like you may have air in your system, When topping-up all coolant system the system must be purged of air, also another tip is to open the heater valve to hot as if set to cold air will be trapped in the heater and when opened air will go into the engine. open all valves where coolant run's is a must,top-up system run the motor just for a few minutes check water level again top-up if need be and then repeat, If pressure still builds up inside the motor you will need to pressure test the system you may have a blown gasket or liner seal. hope this helps. regards peter

My engine was knocking so I thought I just needed an oil change. After $200 for good oil change, transmission flush and new oil, transverse case flush, it still knocked. In fact on that same day, it got...

first find out where the oil came from, if its from the filter whoever replaced it is liable, if its a hole in the side of the engine then it threw a rod and you are out of luck, let me know what you find

My heater will not get warm on my 2002 jeep grand cherokee limited. any sugestions? thank you!!!

these jeeps are famous for bad actuator motors, these are small motors used to control the heater door, you may have a bad one that controls the hot and hot door, it may be stuck on cold. also make sure your coolant is full , i dont see any other problem that would cause this, a bad thermostat would give some heat, it may take a while but you would get heat,i would first check the coolant level then check the blend door operation to see if motor is bad. hope this helps.

2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited..heating system doesn't work but ac does

You may have the blend doors problem which means the blend doors are in the closed position only allowing cold air. They need to be fixed. Google "heatertreater" to see full explanation and fix.

2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee Heater will not turn off

It could also be the rheostat that controls it. it's on the fan plenum under the dash. inserts into the plastic plenun.
