I can't find the code on the computer showing P1645 two times. Does anybody know what this is???
Diagnostic Test Code (DTC) P1645 is described by the vehicle manufacturer as "EVAP Purge Solenoid Output Circuit".
Opps - sorry, did not intend to post yet.
Please note that this DTC is a "manufacturer-specific" DTC. These types of DTCs can vary from one manufacturer to the next and can sometimes also vary between different car lines within the same manufacturer. If you are using a "generic" OBD fault code list to try to find the definition of this code, this explains why you cannot find it. Fault codes with the designation of "P1xxx" are ALWAYS manufacturer-specific codes and MUST be looked up in the service information for the particular vehicle that is published by the manufacturer.
Specifics on this code for a 1997 Cadillac Deville:
The Powertrain Control Module (PCM) contains Output Driver Modules (ODM) that provides switchable ground outputs for operating solenoids, relays, indicator lights, and other devices.
Each of these ground outputs has fault lines that feed back to the PCM's microprocessor.
When the output is off, the output driver should receive the 12 volts (minus normal device resistance) that is fed to the solenoid, relay, light bulb, etc.
When the output is on, it should recieve zero volts, since it is grounding the output.
If the PCM sees zero volts when the output is off or it sees 12 volts when the output is on, it sets a fault line low.
This DTC is used to monitor the fault line of the EVAP Purge Control solenoid.
It is difficult to say if it is going to be an "easy fix" before the circuits are tested and the CAUSE of the fault has been determined. It could be anything from a loose connector, to a damaged/open coil in the purge control solenoid itself, or a wiring harness that has been chewed up by rodents.

I had the same problem. The mechanic could not get the compressor to take in new freon. It has to do with the car's memory. You have to reset it by disconnecting the hot wire from the battery which for thirty seconds. This resets the cars internal memory, so it won't remember that it's out of freon. Reconnect it turn on the car and turn on the air the compressor will start.

PO135 is oxygen sensor Bank1 sensor1. PO404 is EGR.
personally, I'd pull EGR off, clean pintle good with throttle body cleaner or carb cleaner, re-install, erase codes & try it for a while & see if it code(s) come back.

Thanks for the answer. I have MS so my mechanical skills are null and void. Is this an easy fix? Also I have a 1997 Cadillac Eldorado and the accelator tachs at 2 rpms just when idling. Almost like having a permanent Cruise Control. I Think know where the Ignition sensor is located, but the back screw looks impossible withot supporting the engine, since I believe the Sensor is located below the motor support bar.
