Where is the starter located on 1994 Buick Lesabre

You should probably have it fixed. I have a 98' LeSabre and am
wondering why the engine keeps blowing up. I have changed it
3 times now. Keep checking fluids and everything but still not having
any luck. So i hope the help i gave helps you.

How to replace a starter on a 1993 buick lesabre?

Remove negative battery cable.
Remove wires at starter-the big cable at starter, and the wire or wires at the solenoid on the starter.
Use a 10 mm socket or wrench to remove the little plastic shield covering starter where it mates to transaxle. Sometimes there's a brace on front of starter that also needs removing.
Use a 15 mm socket to remove two starter bolts from bottom of starter up into engine block. Starter is free now, and can be tipped, twisted, or turned for removal from engine area. How you manage to get it out from the area is how the new one goes in for mounting it up.
Reverse process to install. If old starter had a shim between starter base and the block, be sure and install that, too.

1994 buick lesabre intermitten no start.how to make sure it is the ignition switch.

What I would check first is the starter, when it don't wont to start, with a test light check voltage down at starter, the small wire on the starter come's from the ignition switch, while some one holds the key to start check voltage at small wire, there should be voltage there as long as key is held on start, on the big wire at starter it should always have voltage with key on or off, if you do have voltage replace starter intermitly going out, now if you don't have voltage at small wire, check or replace neutral safety switch.

How to install starter on a 1992 buick lesabre ?

Hello Bellamy.
When removing starter, note if any shims are used between the starter and mounting surface. If shims are found, reinstall in original locations. If starter is noisy during cranking, remove one .015 inch double shim or add one .015 inch single shim to the outer bolt. If starter makes a high pitched whine after engine start, add .015 inch double shims until noise ceases.

Disconnect battery ground cable and raise and support vehicle. Remove starter braces, shields or other components that may hinder starter removal.
Support starter and remove mounting bolts.
Lower starter and disconnect solenoid wires and battery cable.
Remove starter from vehicle.
Reverse procedure to install.

There you are, remember to use safety glasses to keep your vision protected.
Use proper safety stands and wheel chocks to support the vehicle while under it.

Take care.

Car makes a weezing sound, turns over, but wont start

Yes, this sounds like your starter is begining to go out. What will happen as this problem continues to progress: is that when you go to start the car you will have to try 2, then 3 then 4 times for the starter to finally engauge. Then if you pray really hard when it gets to the 5th time it might start. The noise you hear is the bendix drive not engauging the flywheel.

I need to replace the starter on my 86 buick lesabre with a 3.0 motor. Is this the hard one to replace were you have to take the manifold off?

Get it from UNDER Front Of Engine

93 buick lesabre 3.8 liter starter replaced, new one just clicks

You still have a poor connection between the battery and the starter. Or a defective battery. (the headlights, if turned on will nearly go out when the key is turned to start)
