Heater blowing not so hot

I would start with checking coolant level, when is cool, check to make sure the coolant is circulating, feel the upper and lower radiator hoses, also heater hoses. let me know the results.

losing any fluid...fogging windows, I hate to say it might be your heater core clogged or small leak

Do you have a hot water valve out by or on the engine usually you can tell by following the heater hoses the water valve will be in line or be coming off of the engine intake manifold, it is vacuum operated older valves can stick, try that first or if you have a vacuum gauge check to see if the vacuum bleeds off you can also manually apply vacuum and feel what the heater temperature does.

Which "hose" is hot and the other is "not"?
The one's going into the Heater Core?
If so:
Then you have a blocked Heater Core.
Remove and Flush this before deciding whether or not to replace it.

Check coolant level. Check for heat at the heater hose going from water pump to heater core at firewall. Check to see that cable is moving coolant control valve from the closed to open position. Low mileage so it shouldn't be plugged heater core.

sounds like you have some mechanical aptitude..... I LIKE THAT!!!! Now....get your hand up to the evap box....after the jeep has been running for a while so it can get warmed upand turn the heater on......you should feel some hot air on the evap box on the mid to upper part...if you do this is good...it means you have a temp door actuator stickin....which is a huge tsb for these vehicles....if there is no hot air on the evap box on the inside of the jeep then get back undr the hood and put your hands on the heater core inlet and outlet hose......should both feel the same hotness...if not then ya have a faulted heater core...try to flush it and replace if necessary..........HOPE I HELPED!!!!

are heater inlet outlet mix valves standard for all dodge heater cores. I have 2001 dodge cummings blows warm air not hot when gauge is 195 degrees would there be a mix valve under the dash because it is not inline outside the wall

THE 1ST THING U DO IS GO UNDER THE HOOD WHEN ENGINE IS HOT, CHECK THAT BOTH HEATER HOSES (INLET AND OUTLET) ARE GETTING HOT, IF ONLY ONE IS HOT FLUSH THE CORE, IF BOTH ARE JUST WARM THEN THE THERMOSTAT IS DEFECTIVE IN THE ENGINE, REPLACE IT, LET ME KLNOW WHAT YOU FIND.

Notorious for plugged heater cores. Also updated plastic restriction couplers mounted at heater core available from dealer. Try back flushing heater core. Run engine till its at operating temperature then carefully hold the inlet and outlet hose breifly with heater fan on high if hoses are nearly the same temp then flow is good , if not then core is plugged.
