Look near your battery and you will see two ac lines. one ac line has a sort of bulge then goe to smaller size. this is where your orifice tube is located

I had to get under the car and look on the battery side. The tube with the crimp is there. The fitting is very tight and located up inside the body. When I started to loosen the pipe I noticed that it was bending so I stopped. I was able to use a plummers faucet wrench and have my son hold the other fitting with some channel locks. We were able to get the fitting loose and I was able to change the orifice tube. Assembly was in reverse and it all went back together.
Thanks for the help.

Where is the orfice filter on a 2000 buick century 3.0.

The a/c orifice tube is probably located at the firewall on the a/c piping that leads to the evaporator that sits behind the firewall and in front of the dashboard climate control.

I would check the line comming out of the accumulator. Also check to see if it in fact has one. Some cars, before 1995 only used the expansion valves which is in with the evap. coil.

Orifice Tube - 2002 Buick Century

Some are in the inlet to the evaporator and some could be in the condenser line. You can get a new orifice tube on autozone for $5 - 20
