Remote door lock receiver problem 1995 Buick Regal

We have a 1995 Buick Regal, 4 dr with less than 40000 miles and has always been garage kept.
The problem started with the auto door locks coming on and off while the car is being driven. Took it to the GM dealer who disconnected the remote keyless door lock system and told us to manually unlock the doors. Apparently they couldn't get the part (electronic module). That was done but the next thing is interior light was staying on for about 1/2 hour after car was shut off.
Took the car back to the GM dealer and they removed a fuse so the interior lights are now not functioning. The GM dealer says the part that they feel needs replacing is "Remote Door Lock Reciever " and told us the unavailable part # is 10271579.
I discussed this with an friend who lives in another province and he is a Ford master mechanic. He feels that if the remote door lock receiver has failed the interior lights would not come on or off.
Any advice? Thank you, Brian

They are right at the GM dealer, u need a new module, have seen and fixed this very issue, have the dealer do a national inventory search both in Canada and the USA, if the dealer won't, call a US dealer and ask them to try and get the part for U, have done this more than once for out of production parts, always got the part from somewhere.

Door lock solenoid for 1995 buick regal

Door lock solenoids are connected to the door lock by linkage inside the door. That's the best place for them. You have to remove the door handle and window crank then remove the door panel to get to it.

I have a 1995 Buick Regal that automatically locks the doors when you shift from park into drive, I dont like that feature. Is there any way to disable that feature?

If you start it in neutral, the auto locks don't auto lock. As an mechanic, I start in neutral out of habit because it technically reduces wear by avoiding going through reverse.shift out of park while in acc to nuetral and start

2001 Buick Regal. Power door lock swith will not lock doors.

Remove the door panel and unplug the connector to the door actuator. Probe the contacts with a voltmeter set on DC volts. Then operate the lock/unlock switch. You should see the voltage toggle from +12 volts to -12 volts. If you do, then the wiring, switch and connector are good and you have a bad actuator. Be prepared to start replacing all of them because they all operate the same number of cycles.

Have a 1995 buick regal that front passenger door will not unlock. not with key inside lock or power lock anyone have any ideas

could be that one of the rods inside the door has shifted to where it is not allowing it to unlock, sounds like its just jammed. I would remove the inside door panel if you can and look at the rods leading to the lock and the door handle see if they need to be freed if so after freeing them grease them real well with any kind of gear grease so it wont happen again.

I have a 95 buick regal grand sport with 61,000 miles on it

Regardind the A/C situation is posible that your compressor is getting stuck either for lack of internal lubrication or overpressure, either way is time to replace it. The second part might be related to the security system, the mirrors sounds like a different fuse.

Where is the keyless remote receiver located in my 99 Buick Regal located

Your receiver is located in the trunk, On the passenger side. If you look at the speaker on the passenger side, about 4 inches back or 7: o clock mounted on the same panel that the speakers are mounted to is you receiver. A small square box like 2X2 with wires running tword the passenger side. If you see the bundle of wires attached to the trunk hinge and follow the only set running to the driver side is it.

The auto door locks on my 1991 buick regal quit or only work intermittenly. I bought a new transmitter (hand unit) and replaced the relay under the dash. The dealer could only program the new hand piece to...

I had they same problem a few years back. Aging electronic circuits may be the issue here. That is what happened to cause the remote door feature to operate intermittently in my 1991 Buick Regal. Over time the heat of summer and the cold in winter stress solder joints on printed circuit boards. That stress can bring about what is known as cold solder joints.

I located the remote door receiver module behind the back seat under the cover that holds the Third Brake Light. Once removed from the car I opened the module up and inspected the printed circuit. Sure enough I saw the problem using a magnifying glass. Many of the solder points had cracks around connectors, resistors, capacitors to name a few. Resoldering each bad point sovled the intermittent operation. I hope this helps...

1994 c280 low miles great condition always garage kept. Went into garage no lights, no power, no crank, no dome light radio or anything else. Battery good. Key always locked all 4 doors, now only locks...

You probably have either a bad connection at the battery on the smaller wire that connects to the + terminal or you have a blown or a bad connection to a fuse strip. Fuse strip looks like this http://www.joetlc.com/strip-fuse-mercedes-benz-p-17216.html
