I have a 1994 Ford F150...recently I was driving and the serpentine belt started squealing and I assumed that one of the pulleys wasn't turning. I quickly turned the truck off. I have not been able to turn the truck back on since. I have no power and I checked all the fuses and the power distribution box. All of them seem to be okay. I still can't find the issue/problem to my loss of power. Nothing powers on in the truck, not even the horn. Any suggestions.

My 2005 mustang squeals on start-up and when the a/c is on. Serpentine belt was recently replaced. Any ideas of what could be happening?

Make sure belt is tight and no oil or grease on pulleys. If that fails check each pulley to make sure it is turning freely especially the AC.

Car is making squealing sound when started up/driving and hesitating.

when changing a serp belt i recommend changing tensioner and idler pulley's also that could be causing the squealing you mention were all pulley's checked for free spin when belt was off ? Not really sure what would cause hesitation unless you have a serious drag on serpentine belt

Serpentine belt on 2006 Ford Taurus SEL squealing.

The belt has most likely moved either in or out on the bottom pulley. Check it first. I had the same problem it looked ok but was out one groove missleading designed pulley.

Squealing noise when i crank up and smell of something burning

then something is frozen with in the Serpentine Belt System, the Belt is squealing on the Frozen Pulley Raise the Hood Start car Look for the Pulley Not turning, there are about 5 different Pulleys, so it could be any one of them, starting With the Alternator Which is the Most common , then You may have 2 idler Pulleys, A Power Steering Pulley and A Water Pump Pulley, Can't tell You which one with out seeing it. Sorry

My 08 mazda cx9 makes a high pitch squealing noise at random times when i start the vehicle. Sometimes it squeals when in gear, sometimes while in park. It's not always a cold start or first morning...

Check the serpentine accessory drive belt and the drive belt pulleys for out of alignment issues. Also make sure the belt tensioner is functioning correctly.

On my 1992 ford taurus I replaced the belts and now car is squealing and smoking what now

Assuming that you have routed the belt properly:

Look for a pulley that isn't turning when the engine is running. A seized air pump did this exact thing on a Lincoln Town Car that I recently worked on. My in-laws had a Mercury Zephyr that stopped dead from a seized power steering pump.

Have a helper ready to start the car when you say so. Have a flashlight in hand, if necessary. When the engine is running, look for a seized (not spinning) pulley. It's likely that the belt was damaged if it smoked a lot.

Good luck from Detroit, MI.

Replace drive belt on 93 ford f150

there is a belt tensioner pullery that is a small pulley not connected to any type of engine part but is on the serpentine belt system, you have to tighten this pulley with a socket until the belt doesnt squeal
