How do you remove headrest on a 2008 silverado?

From the mid 2000s until the 2013 model, you can pull the headrest on your Chevrolet Silverado 1500 up to the full-up position by pressing the button at the base of the inboard leg of the headrest. You then stick a small-diameter tool -- the leg of a heavy paper clip or a small pin punch -- into the hole on the base of the inboard side of the outboard headrest leg. Pull up with the pin inserted and the headrest comes off. On the 2014 Silverado 1500, press the large and the small buttons on the base to pull off the headrest instead of using a pin punch

Unfortunately the rear headrests or head restraint gets in the way and ... So as a temporary measure, I'm wondering if it's possible to actually remove the car's rear head restraints? ... Hi, if you pull the headrest all the way up, you will see a button to release one side of the headrest, the other side needs to be released with a straightened paper clip, pushed into the small hole on the inside of the round trim piece. Good luck... Coop

When you lift the headrest to the up position on the plastic sleves at the bottom of the metal rods for the headrest you should find a small hole on one side.Take a small pin or nail and push in the hole and lift up that will release the headrest

with some cars the headrests dont come off like in my car 93 deville there is no release button and there is nothing in the manual about how to remove it there is only info on how to adjust then
