Ok! So I believe it's the plug, no I'm sure it's the plug. It looks worn out and looks like previous owner tried to fix it HIMSELF. Question is how can I replace the plug with a new one? I want to aleast try to do it myself, any suggestions?

Hi, Easy way to get over this is run a cable from working fog light to none working fog light this should then work. Only other way must be the left fog light is not earthed properly run earth wire to the vehicles body. Please give feedback at [email protected] Thanks, Malcolm Campbell.

SOURCE: Fog light bulb replacement

This bulb can be replaced without removing the washer fluid reservoir. There are 3 screws that go through the bottom edge of the bumper cover into the right inner fender guard. Remove these screws and pull the inner fender down to gain access to the back side of the fog lamp and remove the bulb.

its the dreaded seat rock syndrome, plenty of fixes on the forums, basically you have to replace spacers in set drive mechanism. I did with the help of a friend after ordring bushes and it was quite easy.

SOURCE: 2001 subaru outback headlight not working

chapmnfarm: your head lights use a "2" fuse system.
one for the left and one for the right.
The fuse box you are looking for is under the hood on the passenger's side. It is a black box roughly 8 inches long and 4-5 inches wide. When you remove the cover, you will see fuses and relays. What you are looking for is the section in the box which has a cluster of 7 fuses. 3 in one row and 4 in the other. On the outer parameter are two relays. The fuses you are interested in are located in the row of 4 fuses, with the two closest to the "L" shaped part of the box. Both of those should be 15 amp fuses.
The fuse below those should be a 20 amp which is the lighting switch and the one below it is a 15 amp which is for the interior lights and the clock.
Check your harness grounds in the engine compartment near the area you have the problem. There are ground wires which come out of the harness on both sides of the core support. The wires are black in color and have "EYES" crimped onto the ends of the wires. Both of them will probably be located about 4-6 inches below the upper tie bar on each side of the radiator. Odds are that the eyes will be large enough to pass a 6mm bolt through.
I hope what I have given you will resolve your problem. Lem me know,,good luck>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

My bmw 320i passenger brake light does not work, put new bulb but still does not work. All other lights working okay.

Please try another bulb before you go for something else. Many times happened to me even the new bulb not working. Advice: just remove the good bulb of brake light you have on driver's side and try it on the passenger side. If it works, surely another bulb. If not,ask for an Electrician to help.

1997 BMW Z3 brake lights won't come on.

The brake lamp circuits on your 1997 BMW Z3 are pretty "old-school" and straight forward. Fuse #46 (15 Amp), located in the Front Power Distribution Box at the left rear side of the engine compartment supplies battery voltage to the brake light switch via the VIOLET/GREEN wire going into the switch. When the bake pedal is depressed, the voltage leaves the brake lamp switch on the BLUE/RED wire and supplies power to all of the brake lamp bulbs.

The brake lamp circuits do branch off and go to several control modules. This is ONLY for module INPUT to tell the module that the brakes are being applied. These modules include:
> Transmission Control Module
> Cruise Control Module
> ABS Control Module
> Slip Control Module

The ONLY way that any of these modules could be affecting the operation of your brake lamps is if there is an internal short to ground in the module that is causing the brake lamp fuse to blow.

If NONE of your brake lamps are working, the most likely causes are:
> Fuse #46 open (blown)
> Defective brake lamp switch
> Bad ground connection at ground G400 (Left side of luggage compartment)
> All 3 of your brake lamp bulbs burned out.

Yes, the BLUE/RED wire could be broken as well, but I would check all the other things listed above first.

My fog lights won't work but switch shows power, however when hit the switch can hear the relay on passenger side fuse box can hear it click does that need replaced

Hi, if the light on the switch is coming on, the relay is fine. Unless both bulbs are burned out, the problem is in the wiring between the relay and the lights. I recommend you trace the wiring backward from the passenger side fog light to the power box under the hood to see if the wire is cut. There should be two wires coming out of the power box--one going to each fog light. If the wiring looks good, it is also possible that the ground to the lights is bad.

BMW Z3 '97 speedometer light out how do I replace it?....thank you

if you are referring to the back light in the cluster, there are several 'Christmas' lights in the cluster. you can access this by removing the cluster which isn't too technical. how ever i like to remove the steering wheel as this makes it easier. you will need T-30 Torx driver. and a 23mm 1/2' socket. to remove the steering wheel. then its a few screws (cross or Philips which ever you prefer) and a couple of connectors and you can pull out the cluster to see which style bulb it is. usually there are 1-2 types of bulbs in there clusters.

Keep in mind there are 2 screws in the top of the trim around the cluster and 2 in the op of the cluster itself. there are 2 screws in the bottom of the trim and the cluster as well. if you do not remove the steering wheel it is quite a task removing the cluster but it is possible.

There is a sensor right at the bottom of the seat belt, that sensor works hand In hand with the airbag sensor. The solution is to replace the whole belt

Check the bulb, socket interface, clean contact points. IF you have a test light or ohmeter, check for power to the socket. If unpowered, check the fuse, if powered check bulb element, and socket condition.
