Hi my cigarette lighter is not working and i think it may be a fuse ? but dont know where the fuse is and what number or sign it is , i have a toyota celica 2001 vvtli-190 .
The fuse for the cigarette lighter is the 15 amp CIG fuse. According to my wiring book, the fuse box is either behind the console, passenger side for US cars, or under the dash, driver side.

using a test light check for power and ground for the lighter socket. if this is good then then you know the fuse is good. this indicates that you need to replace the cigarette lighter element. the part that gets hot when you want to light a cigarette.
the cigarette lighter fuse is usually the radio, clock ,instrument panel illumination fuse as well .If these other items are working ok i'd have to say the cigarrette lighter heat element is burned out or there is a loose /disconnected wire to the cigarette lighter socket
Tire compressor probably draws too much current for the socket. Are you sure it is a cigarette lighter socket? Some sockets are just to provide accessories 12v. Did a cigarette lighter come with this socket? True cigarette lighter sockets are generally fused at 25 or 30 Amps
RELAY FUSE UNDER THE HOOD ,TRY REPLACING THE WHOLE CIGARETTE SOCKET AND TRY THAT IT THA DONT WORK TRY BUYING A FUSEABLE LINK THATS CONNECTED TO THE STARTER THATS WHERE YOU GET YOUR CONNECTION FOR YOUR CIGARETTE LIGHTER
test the lighter socket itself by putting a everyday common voltage tester or "multi-meter"in it. place the positive wire on the tester to the center of the socket and the negative to the side of the socket. if no voltage reading, keep the positive where it is and move the negative probe on your tester to a new location that you "know" is a negative like a screw on the door jam area. ( find an unpainted surface"). if you get a reading now then you know the negative on the socket is not connected somewhere in the path. do the same with the positive..... good luck.
