check to see if you have fuel pressure after it dies. fuel pump could be getting hot and shutting off.

first thing i need to know is did the timing belt break?
second is are you sure you aligned the timing marks and after the belt tensioner was tight you rechecked to make sure the timing stayed where you had it.
next step would be a compression check to if a valve was bent whenchanging the belt
i have seen this happen and this engine is an interferance engine.

SOURCE: hyundai accent stops running after heats up
I had the exact smae problem and threw aaway a ton of money on bad "guesses" at what was wrong. The actual fix was replacing the crank shaft position sensor for 50 or 60 bucks. Swapped out bad for good and cars has run great every day since.
SOURCE: Car wont start after I fill the tank
I have seen this many times on Sonatas. The problem is likely to be your cars Purge Control Valve sticking open and allowing fuel vapor to be pushed into the engine while filling the car with gas. This valve is mounted near the intake manifold and has a vacuum line to the manifold and another that routes under the car to the vapor canister.

Probably the arm that holds the rtelease bearing in the bell housing has slipped out of place. Get someone to depress the clutch while you check the arm is not loose. If the cylinders are working then its most likely the arm is disconected. If you are lucky you may get it put back in place by looking through the inspection hole but most likely you will have to seperate the engine and gearbox. Sorry I havent better news for you.
