Might be worth checking your oil level first. If that's correct, the previous answer sounds accurate.

These codes are codes regarding failure. The code P0300 means repeated Engine Misfiring. The code P0303 means Repeated Misfiring of Cylinder Number 3. Kindly contact a technician to get both checked. Their Heads must have been misplaced or broken due to misfiring.

SOURCE: 2004 dodge stratus oil light started coming on

You need to have that chk'd out. Even low oil pressure can damage the engine let alone no oil pressure. Ck your oil level. It is a serious issue to have that light on. Good Luck, _Ned_

SOURCE: my 2004 dodge neon sxt is giving me a p0340 code

A code P0340 could mean one or more of the following has happened:

  • a wire or connector in the circuit could be grounded/shorted/broken
  • the camshaft position sensor may have failed
  • the PCM may have failed
  • there exists an open circuit
  • the crankshaft position sensor may have failed

With a P0340 OBD-II trouble code, diagnosis can be tricky at times. Here are some things to try:

  • Visually inspect all the wiring and connectors in the circuit
  • Check for continuity in the circuit wiring
  • Check the operation (voltage) of the camshaft position sensor
  • Replace the camshaft position sensor as required
  • Check the crankshaft position circuit as well
  • Replace circuit wiring and/or connectors as required
  • Diagnose/replace the PCM as required

Hope this is for any assistance.

I have a 2004 dodge neon sxt and when I go between 65- 80 mph it shakes the steering wheel. Plus the right tire squeaks. Could it be the wheel bearing?

Yes. It could be the wheel bearing, but more likely your wheels need to be balanced. As far as the squeaking goes, make sure the ball joints and tie rods are greased (if possible). The squeaking could also be coming from the brakes.

Camshaft

on a neon the cam sensor is located at the drivers side of the engine on the end of the head. it mounts directly over the end of the front camshaft. it is about 3 inches wide and about 2 and a half inches tall. its made of black plastic and has a wire conector in the back of it. these very comonly leak oil so be careful of the o ring and cleaning the mounting surface.
