MIdas put new shocks on front and back of 2003 chevy venture, now they say the noise is the front axle-help

Hear a noise and took our 2003 Venture Van back to Midas to look at brakes again - the front two pads split, under lifetime warranty, but not the labor $200. Then they said we needed front struts and back shocks, but the ride is so bumpy yet and then that noise is back. Went back today and they cleaned all 4 brake pads and said the front axle needed replace. Every time bill over $1,000. How do I know I need the axle replaced?

SOURCE: Need to replace front brake pads on a 2002 chevy

Support the vehicle on jack stands or equivelant...block, rock, etc, remove the tires that you'll be working on. There will be two allen bolts on the back side of the caliper; remove those without twisting off the rubber boot that's attached to them. once you have those out, grab the caliper and pull it toward you to compress the cylinder. You may have to take some fluid out of the brake fluid reservoir so it doesn't overflow when you do this. Once you have the caliper piston compressed, lift it up, remove the pads, and replace them with the new ones. Your rotors usually don't really need replacing unless they have deep grooves worn in them, or the brake pedal vibrates when you are braking. Once you have the new pads in, put everything back like it was before you started taking it apart, and you're done with that wheel.

SOURCE: how to bleed the brakes on a1999 chevrolet venture

Start with brake in the rear that is the farthest away from the master cylinder ( if your master cylinder is on drivers side start with passenger rear, pump up brake pedal until hard have someone else open bleeder valve until air or fluid squirts out, while holding brake pressure even if goes to the floor dont release pedal until bleeder valve is tightened or you will **** air back into the line,do this several times making sure you get a full stream of brake fluid and no air, continue to other rear wheel and then proceed to front wheel furthest from master cylinderand then final wheel. if you still don't have brakes change master cylinder and bleed all brakes again.

SOURCE: just had new brake line , brake pads, rotors

Because you now have an ASB System Malfunction

Most common cause is a Wheel Speed Sensor

Now--was it damaged by the repair shop

or did they not bleed the system correctly

or not clear the ABS Light?

Vibration and noise from front end while driving

Jack up the front end and put stands under it and block rear wheels. Look at axle boots and see if they are cracked. Try turning wheel back and forth sharply and see if you can hear any clicking. Problem could be outer axle joints. If the boots are cracked or you hear a clicking noise you will have to replace the axle. The axle and boot come as a complete unit. Please let me know what you find out.
